It is very close to the motorway and thus very easy to reach. Still the isolation is good enough that with closed windows almost nothing can be heard. The room is quite spaceous. There are multiple parking spots around but nothing dedicated to the hotel. But it is still possible to leave it standing there for free overnight.

Keep in mind that this is a small town and stores etc. close early, i.e., 18:30 at max.

Very welcoming, the staff and the reception/ maitre-d were superb. Room was clean spacious and comfortable, restaurant and bar excellent, very good breakfast. Friendly family run hotel in a pretty town , good for overnight or longer. Great value for money.

I stayed in different room at this hotel in previous week. it was also nothing to claim but only the point was no small refrigerator (my collleague had). So I tried to ask reception and he could arrange the room with it. Then I could stay there at perfect condition! aThank you for the kindness.

This is my second visit to this hotel. I think all the rooms have been refurbished to a very high standard and the bathrooms are wonderful and overall the rooms are very comfortable. We were on a cycling holiday and this is a perfect stop off point. The restaurant serves super food. If you are in this area, stay at this hotel. I've stayed in some 5 star hotels that aren't this good.

A very minor point, the reception doesn't open until about 5pm

We only stayed at this hotel for one night whilst on a cycling tour of the River Main. We had rooms in the main building and the room I stayed in had a wonderful modern bathroom, just what you need after cycling 100km. The restaurant served delightful food, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel also provided secure bike storage for our bikes overnight.

The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and big, so it was no problem to let our 11 month year old daughter sleep with us. The staff was super friendly; breakfast and dinner delicious. We were only staying one night on our way to Austria for our family holiday. We were planning to stay here again on our way back but had to take a different route due to traffic. But we'll definitely keep Hotel Zum Karpfen in mind for future trips.

There was one window that didn't have any blinds, so it was very light in the room when our daughter went to bed since it was summer. But we easily resolved it by putting one of the blankets in front of the window.

The hotel has an excellent chef and I enjoyed every dinner of 7 that I ate in the restaurant. Breakfasts were also very good, with yogurt, fruit, fruit juices, cereals, eggs, bacon, pastries, cheeses and meats, and a variety of breads. This is a family owned and operated facility. By the end of the week, I felt like I was a member of the family. The hotel is also within walking distance of the railway station, which was a plus. I'm only my way back to spend a month at this hotel -- that's how much I liked it!

I have no complaints or suggestions for better service.

The location is directly inside the old town with a free parking spot in front of the property. There is no traffic or partying going on in the evening so it's rather quite at night. The hotel includes a traditional restaurant where you can get local dishes. Breakfast had scrambled and boiled eggs, different cereals, spreads, cheese and bread. They even had honey from the region which was quite nice.

No air conditioning. I think Germany needs to realize that summers are getting hot and having an AC will become a necessity, especially for hotels. But that's not a unique problem of this property.
