The staff was very friendly... Cooperative & caring. I stayed with a special needs kid on the wheel chair. The staff (especially the valet) were kind enough to wait & take care of car with a smile..! I did take out my care many times but they didn't hesitate to bring my car that many times. Also special thanks to front office staff (sorry to forget her name) who made sure we got a spacious room so we can easily move the wheel chair. This ensured us the comfort. Will be thanking her personally during my next visit.!!

Not to highlight...but during booking if the futon bed was additionally requested, this can be made available in advance..!! I had to remind them thrice to get this.

Hotel is very comfortable and in the city. Property is clean and well maintained. Even though some of the things are worn out due to extensive usage, but its a minor thing.

Even though we have booked room for two people, in the bathroom they have left only one brush in a opened sachet and the shaving sachet is also opened. See in the attachment. Maybe maintenance/management needed to be bit more careful in doing their job.

Main location and good car parking facilities. We chose this place as a one night transit stay during our longer drive towarss Goa. It served our ourpose but nothing much beyond that.

A bunch of young college age kids were there from another group who has been asking for some omelette from the live counter and the staff were outright rude to them. They simply responded saying they were too busy and not really sure how long it would take. Bad staff attitude.

Well...minor issue though. There was only one small peg bottle of Blenders Pride kept along with cookies. After I checked out one person called me asking if I had any booze from Minibar...I told her there was only one bottle though she said there were two. I don't drink anything less than Single Malt and I had my own bottle brought from Goa. They should check before and immediately after I check out...not when I am on the road halfway home.

Good spread of breakfast, Very courteous staff , ethical and honest I had booked for me and my wife but since my wife was not able to make it due to health issue I checked in alone , they called up and reduced the tariff for single occupancy which I had never expected or bothered as I had booked through booking .com. This shows how ethical the hotel and staff are. ram mohan

Breakfast was delicious and the spread was plenty. Good ambience. . Sufficient parking Staff extremely courteous and helpful. Good guidance on how we can spend time during our stay with specifics. Hotel location was on the main road.

Food room service was slow. Also, the room entry card was a problem and door wouldn't open on multiple times during our short stay

The best thing about your hotel is the staff members right from the main entrance the way they greet with Namaste with smile and assisting at every step, also at Front desk Kankshita was very humble and attentive assisting me with all the check in procedures also a person who escorted me to the room was very kind and humble even the staff at the restaurant were very nice and smiling the energy i felt from them was like all of them here are working with good emotions and passion. Keep up the good work and keep spreading the happiness. Thanks a lot for making my stay so memorable and happy.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my parents and was thoroughly impressed. The location is absolutely perfect. From the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly welcome. Every staff member, from the gate attendants to the receptionists, went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Royal Orchid Shimoga is a hotel that I opt for each time I visit Shimoga. The hotel staff is courteous, and pleasant and offers timely service. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. As this is right at the Shimoga city centre don't expect any views from the room that is probably only negative to point, otherwise, a good option to choose when you visit Shimoga.

Hotel frontage is cramped.

It was good for the following reasons 1. The staff were incredibly friendly. 2.room was clean and bed was so comfortable 3.location was perfect 4.the hotel had a very welcoming and relaxing ambiance 5.the service was excellent
