Nice to be by the sea and have a little private beach. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful and the staff were so helpful on arrival. View of the sea was lovely.

We stayed in one of the rooms overlooking the sea which are fine except no doors between the bedrooms and seating area. It was expensive for two people for what it was but if you are four or a family I bet this place is perfect especially in the Summer if you want to stay and play on the beach.

Breakfast was tasty, western style, served with a smile The dining room has a beautiful view of the bay where black kites fly in and out. Dinner was amazing Japanese cooking, with a series of dishes including interesting side dishes in an elegant serving. ~Also good wine is served. Privacy was pleasant and since I had no car, I could borrow a bicycle and enjoyed walking up the hills and rolling down. When in need, one of the owners offered to drive me to the station. This is a family place, where you can rest and enjoy Shikoku's nature.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The location is to die for, with its own private beach. Breakfast was delicious and the owner’s home baked bread was fantastic. You can rent a stand up paddle board for ¥1100 an hour. When I left my headphones behind, the owners called me and very kindly dropped them off at the convenience store to get shipped to my next location. Wonderful hosts!

You can hear quite a lot of noise between the cabins - we were in a room next to a toddler who woke up very early, so it was quite difficult to sleep well. The beds were also quite hard. Would be nice to have some more comfortable seating on the top deck to enjoy the view, rather than the hard benches. But these are just small changes - I loved it overall.

I absolutely loved this hotel. It was one of the best places I stayed during my trip to Japan. Maki was wonderful. She gave me some treats when I left and also dropped me off at the bus station. The food was delicious and presented well. The lagoon nearby was so beautiful. I know they opened a brand new hotel down the street with a view. I wish I had stayed longer. My room overlooking the bay was so lovely that I sat there looking at the changing sky all evening. It was more like a chalet. I also loved that there was a hot tub in the property. I would love to go back.

I could not recommend this place highly enough. If you are staying in/near Shishikui stay here. Location was perfect. The bay was private and beautiful. It was 5 minutes from Shishikui. We had a room which was large, clean and had everything we needed and had a perfect view of the bay. The owners were amazing - from accommodating us last minute for dinner to being so friendly and helping with anything from runs to Shishikui to recommendations for visiting. The food was up there with the best we have had. The owner is a trained chef and his wife runs a bakery on site which serves fresh bread which accompanies breakfast.

It was a pleasure being at this great location on the beach of the Pacific. The pension is like a quiet resort, with a private beach on a small bay, which is also a favourite spot for the golden eagle. The optional dinner (order 1 day in advance) was excellent. For us it was a fine stop between the mountains of Shikoku and the Nara peninsula. We had a spacious cabin with a bathroom. An additional Japanese bathroom can be used as well.

The location of this hotel was exceptional. The breakfast was absolutely some of the best that I had in Japan - complete with homemade breads, granola, and more. The staff was also very kind to us, even for those folks that there was a language barrier. I honestly just loved this place!

Private beach, amazing breakfast and cute log cabin with lots of room for us all. Perfect. Played tennis, swam, paddle boarded. You need a car to reach there and to get around - lots of good places to eat locally just check they are open before you head out and speak to the hosts for recommendations. Wonderful spot worth the journey. Dont miss the crab bath.

This Pension is a gem set in its own cove We had almost a small flat in the main house with outside shared balcony overlooking the sea. Maki made a lovely breakfast and we ate a delicious meal on our second evening there. You need to book the meal in advance. This is a lovely place for a rest.. Its very quiet despite being 5 mins drive from the main road.

have been travelling for 4 months now and this is one of the best/coolest spots weve stayed. amazing local fresh food, great dinner on demand. Owners are super nice and fluent in English and the location is just amazinf in a secluded cove/beach with a really nice onsen facing the ocean!
