Delightful dinner prepared by a more delightful chef. Hotel Marea's cozy waterfront restaurant was fresh and plentiful. Wild caught European Sea Bass , mejillones harvested daily, seared cuttlefish and a scrumptious basque cheesecake highlighted the Galician fare. A quaint location and great stay.

Susana was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed during our breakfast and cleaning the rooms. The hotel is just overlooking the ocean and very close to the sea and a couple of restaurants (the one under the hotel is very good).

Our room was Garden facing, the view was not very nice and there wasn´t a lot of privacy. The room was rather small and did not have a lot of space for storage or hooks to hand things. The village also does not have tons of variety in terms of food since there´s only 2 restaurants, you need a car to move around.

It was quite a last minute booking at the Hotel Marea, but in the end it was one of the best of our trip to Galicia, if not the best. The Hotel is right by the sea, near a small beach, in a very quiet and beautiful environment. Our room was big, perfectly clean, everything was fine and new, the bed was comfortable and we slept very well. The check in was very easy and quick, the staff were very friendly (as always in Galicia). We could easily park the car on the road by the sea free of charge.

Nothing, it was simply perfect. Just the refrigerator was turned off and we discovered it the following morning.

We couldn't have made a better choice than staying at Hotel Marea and choosing a sea view room - waking up to the sounds of the waves and going for walks on the beautiful sea-side path were highlights of our travels around Galicia. Hotel was extremely clean, and little details like coffee and snacks in the room made a difference. Comfortable beds, kind staff, and an amazing local restaurant right below the hotel. We can't wait to come back!

The view from our room at the front of the hotel was exceptional with only a narrow, quiet road between us and the beach. The receptionist, Susanna, was helpful to a fault. O Recuncho de Lolo - Lolo’s Corner -, the bar and restaurant below the rooms is under separate management but offers good, simple food served with love at reasonable prices. Even with the few noted dislikes, this is a special place. Visit and enjoy!

The bed could be better although we have slept on worse. no bath plug so only a shower is possible.

A really lovely, small hotel on the seafront. There were welcoming chocolates, water and a fridge and coffeemaker in our room.

There was no air conditioning but it didn’t bother us (we were there end of July) as we had a lovely sea breeze.

Incredible location, very very good restaurant under the hotel, but not noisy. Friendly staff, very clean.

Lack of a elevator (which we knew beforehand), breakfast could be a little bit improved (for example fresh orange juice and fresh marmelade could be added)

Rooms are right over the water with small balcony and the sound of the waves. Great location. Low season so we're able to park right on the property. The owner insisted on helping us carry our bags up. Low seasob so the restaurant downstairs was not open but supposed to be very good. Several restaurants near by at Marina but close @2 for lunch so ate downtown at Orange not fancy but great meal for a great price right next to museum. Old Town nice walk. Central museum downtown free and good collection of mostly Spanish artists. Central fish market great lots of action but get there early winds down by 1 pm. Room was great great beds. Bathroom all tiled with great tub and plenty of glacial blue hot water.

View over the inlet was great with the sound of the waves to lull you to sleep. Staff was very helpful and kind!

The staff were super helpful! Offered support when I misplaced a passport and also helped me find a taxi when needed. Beautiful location, right on the beach! Firm bed, lush down type blankets and lots of pillows. Would definitely stay again.

Charming and well appointed beachside hotel. Host and staff were delightful and took great pride in the property. Perfect and well presented breakfast. A real gem would, thoroughly recommend. Our seaview suits were perfect.
