We had a fabulous welcome, having had a phone call the previous day to check the room would be set as we wanted it. Room was lovely and large with a great seating area outside. Loved the pool facility and just what we needed after a long days climb! Breakfast had a wonderful variety and was delicious.

For a 4* hotel we felt there should have been a bar rather than just a vending machine. Would’ve loved sitting next to the pool with a beer after our days achievement! Possibly have 2 deck chairs per room rather than one to sit outside as we would’ve both enjoyed a lounge pass the room.

The hotel is in a beautiful, central location. It has a wonderful view of the convent and of the village in the upstair breakfast room. The breakfast buffet was really good, with various types of chacuterie, cheese, bread, cakes, fruits, yogurts, cereal selections, tortilla omelet...The room was comfortable, nothing to complain about. The two receptionits whom we interacted with during our stay were very nice.

The price was a little steep for such a quiet location. But we were glad there was an accommodation near the monastery de Armenteira.

Gorgeous modern building, looks like a Danish museum. The pool was chilly but a refreshing and lovely end to a long hiking day. Shower temperatures and pressure were great, and we slept well in a comfortable bed with blackout curtains. Loved that our room opened onto a nice grassy patio; overall the hotel fits seamlessly into the surrounding nature with smart architecture and lovely dark wood. Breakfast was luxe and great quality. Really appreciated the Nespresso machines at breakfast and in the lobby too. Staff at the front desk extremely friendly and professional, really made us feel welcome.

It's unfortunate that they don't serve dinner or meals other than breakfast. The bar next to the monastery was the only option after 5pm and it wasn't a great experience. The breakfast room is so lovely architecturally, it would have made for a lovely evening meal too, but I understand why that's operationally hard and expensive.

Beautiful stop on the Camino Spiritual Variante. With hostel accommodation in short supply we decided to treat ourselves and guarantee some comfort - this hotel did not disappoint. The Nespresso machine in reception available to all guests was so lovely. The pool was chilly but great for a quick refreshing dip. Our room was spacious. Water was hot and powerful in the shower and there was also a hidden bath. The bed was huge. Breakfast was vast and delicious. Water was provided in the room.

I couldn’t imagine spending too much time here as Armenteira is very small with not a lot to do. Of the two cafes available for dinner only one was open in the evening. However, perfect stop on the Camino if you can afford it!

Amazing property from an architectural and artistic standpoint. Extensive common areas for private conversations and small groups that are artfully presented. Sculpture is presented throughout the property, but actually even the light fixtures in the common areas are art. Rooms are spacious with granite and warm woods. Comfortable beds. Staff very helpful. Breakfast very nice. Close to a restaurant and bar with very good food. This was a wonderful experience after a long day hiking on the Camino. We were treated with warm hospitality that was genuine.

Absolutely nothing.

Beautiful modern hotel in a tranquil area. After a very long day of uphill incline on the Camino, Pousada Armenteira was just what we needed. The breakfast was amazing and much needed to start the next day on the Camino. But most of all and very a special thank you to the gentleman named Santiago at the front desk reception. He went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We are forever grateful! He always had a smile and aimed to please. Thank you Santiago!

Nothing, it was wonderful!

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. In particular we were met on arrival by Santiago who was informative and answered all our queries, from a group of 8 friends. He assisted us throughout our stay and his manner was consistently kind and respectful. I was very impressed. The lady who helped us check out at 6am was also helpful.

on site bar and restaurant would have been good, but the nearby facilities were great and it was not an inconvenience to visit them.

Great location, good swimming pool. Excellent and very helpful staff. Very comfortable beds and excellent bed linen. Great breakfast with good option for gluten free. Best orange juice and coffee in our trip doing the Camino from Oporto.

Towels and floor didn’t dry in the bathroom. Excellent shower and Bath but fan didn’t work and no hot towel rail in the bathroom and unable to dry towel after shower at night. Towels still wet in the morning.

Lovely property. Lots of very modern design features. Santiago at the front desk is a ROCK STAR! We came in like drowned rats after 6 hrs in rain and wind on the Camino. He offered to dry our wet clothes.

We reserved a suite - unusual design - for a couple or single person. First handicap design. But not sure why they put hardwood floors on a bathroom (or lobby). But the clear glass wall looking into the ENTIRE bathroom while in the sitting area was disturbing. ADD A CURTAIN PLEASE. Also - at breakfast no fruit of any kind. Not even juice. Besides that breakfast was great

The hotel is a paradise, with a lot of greenery and a pool which really helped the sore muscles after a day of trekking. It’s very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was abundant but not very varied.

There are only 2 restaurants close by, one of which is closed on a Monday. The service is not the best because they cannot cope with the number of pilgrims stopping there. The hotel has a huge potential for a bar or/and restaurant but they only have a vending machine and free flowing water and coffee in the lobby.
