It was the best value we could find for Yellowstone area. The rooms were clean and located just minutes from one of the Yellowstone entrances (the closet entrance to Lamar valley). There is a little town right down the road where you can find breakfast, groceries and gift shops. The staff was very helpful and super nice. We were running late the day were checking in and we received a call from their staff to make sure we were still heading that way and to leave us checking in instructions since they would be closing the office before we arrived. There is also a small beautiful creek that runs right on the side. Overall it was very nice and I would def recommend to anyone visiting Yellowstone.

Make sure you read description because I thought I had rented a cabin but it was actually a room (which ended up working out anyways because it was super clean and nice).

Location + view , quiet, comfortable, on site store with snacks and resources, the owners Anna and Brock were amazing. Pet friendly with a family atmosphere... Love all the dogs. Quiet and strict quiet policy

Prepare to be surprised (pleasantly) when you walk in the door...(at least during slow season). None of the restaurants in town were open when we stayed a night the end of April , but fortunately, the High Country Motel and Cabins has a store and it was well stocked with all sorts of food. The manager was kind enough to upgrade us to a cabin too! Cabin was very clean. Highly recommend!

Perfect little place to stay that had so much charm and character! Front office staff was extremely nice and accommodating! Clean rooms, warm comfy beds, hot showers. Definitely stay again if in the area!

No fault of the hotel but places to eat are super scarce in Cooke City if you're there more than a couple of days

The cabin was charming with nice beddings and cabin feeling. It was clean with new towels. For the very small and remote town Clark city is, this hotel is very good. I wish there was breakfast as the town offers very little. I like this cabin/ motel!

There is no air conditioning. The fan did the job but was a bit noisy. I wish breakfast was available in this motel. This very little towns offers little food.

Location in Cooke City was great. Staff were very friendly. I have stayed a lot of places in Cooke City/Silver Gate, this was the best so far. Room was very clean.

I wished there were more power receptacles, especially one near the mirror/sink for my wife's hair dryer. And there was only one plug available between the two beds. Air conditioning is rare in this area, and usually not needed but it was a pretty hot june. They gave us a fan, which was nice, but still would have liked air conditioning (like I said, no one has it up there I think).

We asked the hotel host for a breakfast suggestion.

My wife has an arthritic hip. It would have helped her greatly if we had first floor room or we had access to an elevator.

Great location to Northeast entrance of Yellowstone. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Loved the fireman's pole in the main office!

Couldn't turn on the TV (it was too late to get help). Also couldn't find a hairdryer.

The check clerk was cool, and made my last minute stay relaxing. The room had a view of the setting sun in the mountains and then I fell asleep watching the stars. This is my new favorite weekend mountain destination!
