The Vanasin Residence is an outstanding property in Tak—an area where you might not expect to find such a beautiful Thai-style resort. The grounds, gardens, and waterfalls are lovely, and the signs on the trees with names in both Thai and English provided an educational touch we’ve long been searching for. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient. Some guests have mentioned road noise, but it was minimal during our stay and not an issue at all, especially when the waterfalls were running.

Our only suggestion would be to provide softer beds. While the mattresses aren’t as firm as many traditional Thai beds, a plush mattress topper would make for a much more comfortable sleep. If I were the owner, I would add soft toppers to the beds and replace the sofa with something more modern and comfortable, as older Thai-style furniture isn’t known for its comfort. Blending traditional design with modern comfort would make the experience even better.

I love everything there. When i booked I didn't expect anything much just looking for some place for one night during we are on the way to Bangkok from Chiang Mai. But I booked because Rean Thai style (Thai ancient house style) and all garden with tropical threes and plants are very well taking care. Then I find out later what i got then even worth more than money I paid. You pay the price for normal room like at hostel or that level but you got the Delux room with 5 stars facilities including the place are well maintained. So much touching me. Breakfast are super fine both for Thai style or western. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !! You can try dinner and nice Restaurant near by 5 mins walk named Yung khao.

Its warm even in the moring but that nothing to do with hotel beside we have just left Fang Chiang Mai where 12C in the 9 am. morning so its normal to feel immediately different.

The staff are very friendly, helpful and very attentive. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and extremely clean, the balcony looks over garden. Beautiful big bathroom too! You have everything you need, a mini fridge, kettle, tv etc., you can even borrow bicycles! The room can be serviced as often as you like. It felt really luxurious and we had a great time here, I would definitely recommend staying here.

The location is a bit out of the way but honestly worth it given the beautiful experience here!

The room was 5*.really nice and big. Had nice slippers and dressing gowns. The grounds were like a landscaped jungle of bliss. The maintenance standards were really high and the whole property was in prestine condition. The solutions made and the details of the grounds are really cool. I base my reviews on price as well, we paid 25€ per night.... And to get to stay there for that price is a super good deal.

The staff seem to be focused on maintenance and not on service, which is not a bad thing, All really nice, but keeping the places standards high seemed the priority. The location is only great for a stop on the way to somewhere else. If they made a pool it would probably help to want to stay a few days.

Beautiful rooms in a tasteful teak hotel. Very clean. Lovely gardens. Bikes for customers to use. Helpful staff. Perfect for an overnight stop between Bangkok and the north. Very good value for money.

The location on the outskirts of town & next to a busy road is not ideal, but we didn't hear the road (ask for a bedroom at the back). Restaurant is not open in the evening, and breakfast is Thai style (very good). Not much to see in Tak itself. Bed was good but very firm.

It was a very convenient area, it was very clean. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed so we couldn't get brekky or dinner there. We had a massage, which was very good.

Spacious room, in a very nice wooden building. The place is quiet, despite being on a large road. Moving around by car is easy, and there is plenty of parking in the property. The choice for breakfast is the usual Thai or American, with a good quality (and quantity). The staff has been extremely helpful in finding a great restaurant nearby. Communication in English was not a problem.

Unfortunately, there isn't any café nor restaurant in the property. Apart from that, the stay has been absolutely perfect.

Location, architecture, setting, pricing

-Quality of pillows and mattress -Smell of the room -Breakfast Understand we cannot expect much from the breakfast given the overall very good price. However we would not have minded a slightly higher price and a better breakfast, instead of the usual industrial bread, jam, butter, sausages. Property is nicely designed, it is a pity that there is no standard for the staff uniforms in line with the feel of the property.

The hotel is very clean, and there are lots of trees in the surrounding. The garden is spacious. The bathroom is very clean and well function. There are spaces in the ground floor of each building where you can bring food to sit and eat.

Choices for breakfast are limited and there is no vegetarian choices

The build quality and design are 5*. Engineers and designers will marvel at the construction, very impressive. The breakfast is from a choice of set menus. I was happy with my choice, it came hot with a smiling service and definitely worth the price. Staff are efficient, professional and courteous.
