I stayed at the hotel twice. (July 2024, July 2025) What stands out the most is the hospitality of the staff, especially Ismail and Zeyn. They were always present to help me out - at check-in, late at night, early in the morning, and even at breakfast. They were so easy to talk to and went out of their ways to make my stay pleasant, which I really appreciated! As for the hotel itself, I really liked the location (central but off the noisy main street) and the terrace. Unlike most hotels in Mardin, the space was not used for a restaurant nor a cafe but only for guests to relax, which means that I could go up there anytime to enjoy the view and chill. I liked that a lot. The facility itself did have some flows such as the sewage-like smell in the bathroom that spread out to the dark small hotel room, but the overall positives definitely outweighed the negatives! For that reason, I think the hotel owner has something to thank for to his staff because they were actually the one that made my stay memorable.

My stay at Carra Konaği was nothing short of amazing. From the pickup at the airport by my driver who stopped on the way to take me to a really cool local restaurant for dinner because I was so hungry. To the warm and friendly faces greeting me on arrival at the hotel. My beautiful room with a stunning view of Mardin was such an unexpected and welcome surprise. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace the next morning was an even bigger surprise. There is no breakfast like a Turkish breakfast. It’s truly so special. And the view - simply magnificent! You may even find yourself with some cutie cats for company. But that’s all part of the charm of traveling in Türkiye. My guide for the day around Mardin/Midyat was so kind, patient and friendly. I felt like I was traveling with a friend and that we had known each other for a long time. A late night coffee shop visit to listen to some live music with locals. A walk all around town, discovering all the hidden gems of Mardin. These are all such incredible and special experiences that I will treasure for life. As a solo female traveler I can confidently say that I have never felt more safe and cared for. Ismail, Zeyn, Öznur, Mehmet, Esat thank you for making my stay in Mardin truly one of a kind. I had an amazing stay at Carra Konagi! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with a great variety of options. The hotel's central location made it easy to explore the city, with many attractions within walking distance. My room was incredibly warm and cozy and the view over the city was breathtaking. Most importantly, the staff was exceptionally helpful and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure a great stay. They suggested some daily tours, offered to book my spot and even organized my airport transfers. The taxi driver went above and beyond to assist me. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Carra Konagi to anyone visiting Mardin. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. in this beautiful city.

We had an amazing stay in Mardin.The hotel was at the perfect location.In the heart of the Old City.Everything was on a walking distance.The owner Nuh bey and his personal were very kind and they did everything to please is.My husband had a birthday and some friends of us asked Mr.Nuh to make something to surprise him and he organised welcoming with birthday cake and present.They explained us everything about the sightseeings and helped us with navigation.Breakfast was also very good ,everything you need for a Turkish breakfast. We recommend the hotel and we loved Mardin very much.

First of all I have to start with the spectacular hospitality of the hotel stuff, the first moment we arrived they have already made warmed up the room for us, room is big and has enough water to drink, hot water and all the facilities you will need, tv is connected to WiFi. The hotel is in the middle of the old town everything is near by restaurants cafe, hamam all the attractions you need to see are just few minutes walk also they are providing a map for you to see what a tourist needs to see. The breakfast is a traditional Mardini breakfast but without exaggeration the taste is different than all the other breakfasts really, while enjoying it the manager came who speaks more than 5 languages came and he explained a lot of things about Mardin and gave information about the hotel which is more than 1100 years, what a historical place we stayed in. Come and bring your loved ones, highly recommended I will definitely come back again.

The hotel is in the heart of old city, 2 minutes walk to the main street where you can enjoy sightseeing, shopping and wondering in the labyrinth of alleys. Also, there are plenty of restaurants & cafes overlooking the Mesopotamian Plain. The hotel is located in the traditional building made of limestone; the rooms are furnished with the good taste. The room was spotless, good sized, the bed comfortable. The breakfast was delicious served in the Turkish style. If you wish you can have a breakfast on the terrace with the breathtaking view. The staff are professional, the host very kind, arranged a day tour and suggested the places to visit. When I come back to Mardin, I’ll stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Everything was fine.

This is an 800+ year old stone mansion that is marvelous. We decided on the extra big room for 4 and felt like we were royalty. Everything was perfect. Don’t expect a standard hotel room. These are stone, but with every amenity. There is a wide variety of rooms - some are small and cave-like, all are incredible. The staff was fabulous. The owner speaks English and led us by phone camera step by step to the car park where his staff met us to carry our bags. Breakfast was exceptional.

This Hotel is not easy to find, and the parking at the hotel is on a very narrow street, only suitable for good drivers and small cars. However, this was ameliorated by the owner provided step-by-step instructions to the car park and then having a staff meet you to carry on your luggage. It doesn’t involve walking upstairs and steep streets of Mardin But the walk is relatively short and totally worth it

The property is situated in the middle of the old city of Mardin and many visitor attractions are within easy walking distance. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and everything is kept clean. The Turkish breakfast served daily is delicious and lavish. From various breads, cheeses, olives, and spreads to freshly hand cut and fried potatoes to menemen (A delicious egg and vegetable dish) to bottomless cups of Turkish tea, coffee and water, your taste buds will be happy. In addition, there are numerous restaurants and cafes within walking distance, many with rooftop terraces to enjoy the view of the spectacular Mesopotamian landscape. The true treasure of Carra Konağı are the staff. They are attentive, kind, patient and willing to make your stay perfection. The hotel will help organize transport to and from the hotel from Mardin Airport and they provide tour information. They have a driver on staff who will transport you to a variety of tourist attractions farther afield. Mehmet Bey’s attention to detail and his service are exceptional. If you plan to be in Mardin, I highly recommend Carra Konağı and Nuh Bey and his excellent staff. You will not regret booking with this hotel!

Carra Konagi has a fabulous location, elevated but within the old city with fantastic views over the Mesopotamian plans. The hotel is within the heritage UNESCO city. It has been rebuilt accordingly and has all the comforts of modern conveniences and the charm of the ancient world. Even more charming is the warmth of reception by the owner, Nuh Yildrim and his staff.

Sometimes you strike it lucky. And we did. The hotel owner is a hands-on professional man of his trade. He has a passion for his business, his guests and for the region of Mardin. He also has a heart of gold. We experienced much kindness, and an absolute trustworthy person. With his guidance we hired a driver to tour the historical sights of the region. Again, we met a lovely man, Mahmet Bata, who showed us a few of the many historical treasures of the region. With Mahmet we felt safe and protected as we toured the region, all at realistic prices.

Carra Konagi is the perfect location for exploring Mardin. It is less than 5 minutes' walk from the main square on Caddesi 1 and perfect for reaching many of the sites that this historic town has to offer. The hotel arranged a taxi from the airport and the driver also acted as my guide the following day when I toured the ruins at Dara and the Deyrulzafaran Monastery. The staff are absolutely delightful (good English and German spoken) and the breakfast on both days of my stay was delicious and nourishing. Excellent value all round.
