Even if the fact that the hotel is located by an old WWIi British airport runway sounds astonishing, visually it's not as impressive as expexted...still gives the hotel a nice "extra". 😄 Rooms are big and clean, breakfast was good even if I missed at least some vegetables. The best on this hotel is the stuff here. Haven't experienced that often such an outgoing support in anything we needed. Within a rating range from 1 to 10, I would give them 11 points. Few minutes after check in I received via Whatsup suggestions where to have dinner or where to book a turtles tour. For dinner ( it got dark already)we decided to go for the received suggestion, Google maps showed it was about a 20min walk, so we thought why taking the car. After about 5min, a car appeared behind us. It was our receptionist who cought us up and drove us to the restaurant on the end. 😁

A good alternative to the overpriced hotels for turtle watching at the reserve. I have been going to this hotel for years, every time I visit this part of Oman with new guests because its value for money is great, the staff has always been helpful and welcoming, and the location of the hotel on an old runway is just unique in its own way.

We will miss having the in-house biryani they used to serve for dinner at the hotel! It is unfortunately no longer an option but the staff recommended this little restaurant a few minutes away from the hotel which was really good.

Confortable and quiet hotel with an excellent and useful and always present reception staff, pleasant welcome with water, coffe/tea and dates. Big and clean room and bathroom. Clean and always open swimming pool and little garden, as there was only few guest they were all for us! For the price, I don't expected such a beautiful hotel. I loved also wifi password (let's see and you will understand).

Nothing, you are perfect! I suggest the guest to arrive before the sunset as for the last part of road, you enter in the old airport runway. Absolutely not necessary a 4WD, but you have to see the road. Google maps is ok.

The staff of the hotel was super helpful and friendly. They shared information about the best destinations and sent us links to best turtle watching places. When our daughter was upset about losing her toy, she got a lovely knitted frog as a gift. Plus there is a very nice pool opened 24/7! We did not order breakfast but still received some juices and fresh fruits to the room. Just lovely!

Great Guest Hause!!!! I can recommend with no daubt. Excellent receptionist and all staff. We got fruits and mineral water after arrival. Staff recommended breakfast for 2 rials/person only, we ordered and it was good choice. We saw on breakfast: toasted bread, Omelette, Juice, Banana and Orange, Jam, Cheese, Butter, Tea or coffee. Delicious!! What is more, the receptionist familirized us with local guide who found the thurtle in the night and call and took us to see it (5 people only!!) ! If you want to stay in nice place and see turtles, do not hesitate and reserve room in this Guest Hause!!!

For the price, I could not expect anything better. The hotel is brilliantly located, a short walk from the beach where you can see turtles (we only spotted one in the water) and off what appears to be an abandoned airfield which was pretty cool. The staff were all very friendly, particularly Saiful at the front desk who could not be more accommodating. The pool is great as well and our room had a lovely balcony overlooking the sea.

Yes it is a bit dated and they could do more with the space around the pool area, but it’s clean, spacious, comfortable, well located, friendly staff and has a pool - for the very low price they charge this is all you need.

Little bit hard to find, just need to turn off the bitumen road onto a gravel track for few tens of metres to get onto the old airfield runway for a safe drive away from any sand to reach the hotel = tall building with big white sign on roof in distance visible from the road

-friendly staff, very eager to do everything for the quests as fast as possible -nice outside area with pool - simple but big room with balcony and sea view -you can even breakfast on your own balcony -in walking distance to the beach If you are looking for a good located guest house for a simple stay and seek no luxury for a good price - THIS IS IT!

We chose this location mainly for its good position, being close to the Turtles reservation (15 minutes by car) and a short distance from the seacoast (5 minutes by walk). The room was big and clean. We had a room with a nice terrace where you could see the sunset. In the morning, we had breakfast, and all the food was tasty. The price fully matched the quality. The hotel also has a swimming pool, but in December really cold. We were satisfied, and we can recommend this hotel.

The staff was extra friendly and they made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Even though we booked normal rooms, they upgraded them to the ones with a balcony.

Some of the furniture might had seen better days, but the beds are new, comfortable and clean. We had some trouble finding the place late at night since there is no obvious paved road leading to the hotel (but there is a WW2 runway going there, which is a landmark on its own).
