A lovely relaxing stay in a beautiful house and garden ! Very friendly welcoming host that made us feel like home. Dogs are allowed , breakfast including and free parking. Big pool. Lovely surroundings and 1 km to nearest resturants down by the canal.

Evrything was perfect, unfortunately we only had one night - make sure you stay at least 2 to fully enjoy it !

The location was a convenient stopping point for our journey so was picked partly at random, but it was a lovely spot. The nearby river is beautiful. But we came for the pool which was fantastic. Eric was great - the prefect host. And we all loved his little dog.

We would've liked to have stayed longer

Eric was welcoming, we arrived in Guipry Messac early, and had nowhere to go. He let us check in early, which was highly welcome after a 3.5 hour drive! The pool was the best pool we have used on our journey across France, and everyone in the family agreed that it has been our favourite stay so far. Our dog (who is highly anxious) fell in love with Scotty dog, and hopes that they can be pen pals. We also enjoyed the breakfast.

A charming chambre d’hote in a lovely countryside location. We were able to use a kitchen for preparing food that we bought from nearby supermarket, which saved us going out again in the evening to eat. The host (and his dear little dog) was very friendly- did not speak English so schoolgirl French was useful. Traditional French breakfast of crusty baguette, croissants and jam. All very pleasant.

Eric and Scot (the dog) were charming and most hospitable hosts. Eric was helpful in every way and went out of his way to accommodate our needs. Our bicycles were kept safe in his garage and the pool a welcome relief after a day in the bike. Erics breakfast was delicious

There was nothing not to like

Erik is a perfect host. His home is beautiful, the guest rooms are clean, very private, and beautiful. He even assisted me with family history that I had come to Messac to research. Very highly recommended.

Great location and host. The facilities are excellent. The breakfast is very nice and the host is always happy to help.

It is not linked to the accommodation itself. But note that if travelling on a Monday, most restaurants nearby are closed. Only one creperie open. There is a supermarket across the street from the house and a well-equipped kitchen if you wish to make your own food.

It was a perfect stop for us travelling from the UK to Spain with two young children and a dog. The property is a big family house where you rent a room. Bathroom was great. The garden was really pretty with a lovely swimming pool. Very friendly owner who spoke good English. It is also located opposite a L’Eclerc which is handy.

Only here for one night. Eric was lovely, my kids were straight into the pool and loads of space to amuse them. Fantastic facilities and all areas were clean and very comfortable. Would definitely come back.

Eric the owner couldn't help you enough, a very nice chap, took us to and from the railway station, with our luggage, bedroom was a nice size, and bathroom clean.
