We always stop at this location on our way to or from the BC coast and Edmonton. The facilities are clean, the staff are super friendly and the location is extremely easy to access. This year we had a room upstairs with a kitchenette. The room is large, big kitchen sink with all the amenities, two super comfy beds, and a table with chairs. The view out the window is great, and the traffic noise is quite muffled. The Grill restaurant attached has great food and amazing staff. Had a great solid night's sleep. We'll be back next year!

There isn't much not to like. The tub had a crack in it, which seems to have been there for a while and a bulb was burnt out in the bathroom.

The staff member I dealt with was excellent—original room was upstairs either no elevator and he was able to change my room to the be on he ground floor. My only complaint was that the pillows were uncomfortably hard and too tall.

Nothing really, you get what you'd expect from a roadside motel. No issues, nothing fancy :)

The location is great, the staff are knowledgeable about the area. Restaurant attached is delicious, good pricing and exceptional staff.

The cleanliness has dropped a bit from previous visits. The garbage wasn't emptied, and it appeared as though a thorough cleaning wasn't done in between visitors. The bedding was stained.

Didn't expect much as looked like an ordinary Motel but the room was extremely comfortable and attached to a restaurant. Although extremely busy the one waiter was very quick with our order and the food,though simple, was fresh and tasty. Reception staff ( Dan /Doug?) was amazingly helpful giving us discount vouchers for the local River Safari. Plenty of free parking and next to main highway. Not 5*Luxurious but great value for money and very comfortable beds

We stayed one night at the Sandman in Blue River, before starting a canoeing trip in Wells Gray the following morning. The hotel staff were very friendly upon arrival, and I enjoyed them laying out some of the quirks of this unique hotel in a somewhat remote community. The room was very clean and quiet, and we enjoyed a restful stay before our departure.

I have nothing to complain about. The price was fair relative to the current price for a hotel in this category during the high season near a Provincial Park.

Only had toast but had dinner the night before and very good and great staff

The fridge in our room 127 was noisy all night and froze my milk Fan in the bathroom was very very loud

There is nothing wrong with the property, but there’s not much to do in Blue River

Did not have the breakfast. Location afforded opportunity to drive around a great little town, relax by the lake.

Old mattresses stacked up outside in the back, old front door mats on the ground near the office, old cardboard boxes near the office, cigarette butts on the ground outside my room, paint crumbling, place needs a lot of TLC.
