Reservation made for my colleagues to spent the night on their way to Hannover. Guests were really happy with both the really nice location and great customer service. Very nice vacation place.

A beautiful old castle with a great spa area. Romantic and full of history. The rooms were authentic and beautiful.

Breakfast was really very great but dinner at the restaurant gets a small minus for the menu, service and atmosphere. Food was actually not bad, however.

The pool and area around the pool was great, quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was excellent with a large choice of everything and the possibility to breakfast outside on the terrace. Out room was spacious with a wonderful bathroom.

Evening dining menu was good but choice was limited. Food was excellent.

Breakfast was delicious and the hotel is so cute. We attended a wedding there.

Some rooms are outdated and the beds are hard. The rooms are small too

The staff was unprofessional, overall long waiting times (45 min for a coffee) and orders have been served incomplete. After addressing the issue, staff claimed they where not responsible and can’t do anything better. Really poor service.

Interesting, colorful place. Historical. Not bad rooms. You can walk around. Take beautiful photos.

Unfortunately, we couldn't sleep well after a busy day. A group of other guests were partying under the arch until 4am, practically under our windows. At first they were having fun in the parking lot, then it started raining and they moved to our windows under the arch. At 1:30am I called the reception, they didn't pick up the phone. I wrote in desperation through Booking to contact the owner. The next day after lunch I received a formal reply that they would look into the issue. 3 days have passed. Nobody is interested. The money has been received - the rest is not important. There is a problem with the Internet in the hotel. We were still unable to connect to the hotel network. The administrator's attempts to help us register were unsuccessful. We were not given access to other networks. They are probably only for employees. Very strange. The restaurant is open until 8pm. The food is disgusting. We arrived after 6pm. The check-in process and attempts to install the Internet took a long time. In general, we have 32 minutes left for dinner - for 24 euros per person. There are no restaurants within walking distance. Within a radius of 10 km, it is also a problem to eat. They are either closed on weekdays or work until 20:00. Keep this in mind,

Many things: 1. A dinner at the hotel restaurant costs 28 Euros per person and very regular canteen-like foods are served. 2. The restaurant staffs are NOT AT ALL professional. - They blame guests for a booking mistake which is their own fault - The restaurant staff yell at each other while guests are still eating just right next to them - Staffs tend to be rude when they are under stress, but they also throw sudden jokes once they realize that they will receive another bad evaluation from the guest - You may want to avoid dinner at this hotel restaurant If you expect a romantic and quiet dinner 3. Every equipment seems nice in the room at the first sight, but you will realize immediately that they use the cheapest possible products & materials 4. Cleanness is in question as well. On the surface, everything looks fine. But, if you (by accident) see what is under the bathtub plug or sink plug, you may find a skein of hairs (probably being collected since middle age). 5. If you want to roam around towns and tourist attractions in Harz, you should expect 1.2 ~ 2 hours of driving. Nothing special is nearby. 6. Be aware that there are no restaurants nearby. The nearest possible place to eat is a Dönner stand approximately 15 minutes driving distance away from the hotel. The small imbiss in front of the hotel closes at any time and usually very early. Don't rely on what google says.
