Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good. Our room was clean every day during our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location close to everything around Valdez.

We we’re staying on the first floor too much noise from upstairs stomping on the floor. The smell of Lysol spray was so strong we have to open the window to let some air in and get the smell under control. The shower water pressure was like a fire hose.

The front desk staff, especially the evening lady (I wish I could remember her name!) were wonderful and super helpful when it came to recommendations. Our room was perfect for what we needed - a place to sleep and get clean. We weren't there much otherwise! It was just my 16 y/o daughter and I, and 2 doubles was the perfect size for us. It would be very snug for a family of 4. We didn't partake in the breakfast that was offered, so unfortunately I can't comment there, but we appreciated the fact that we had a microwave & fridge in our room, as well as a huge ice machine in the lobby!

The pressure in the shower lacked, and a lot of the TV channels didn't work, which was a little annoying. It was also a little too warm in our room for our liking, and we didn't even have our heat on lol, but we didn't want to leave our window open because it rained in the evenings and also because our room was on the 1st floor. Parking was a little tough at night with the bar next door, but it worked out for us for the most part.

All the folks at the reception desk were helpful and very personable. My room was clean and comfortable, and as an added bonus, it looked out on the mountains. The breakfast had a range of options, and coffee, tea, and ice water were available 24 hours a day in the lobby. The hotel is an easy walk to good restaurants, the excellent public library (free used books on the lower level), two museums, the harbor, etc.

The linen smelt great which was a plus. Beds were comfortable but on the softer side. The breakfast was a nice surprise because it was delicious with skillet potatoes, scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles, fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy with a friendly chef. There were also bagels, toast, and cereal which is all I was thinking there would be. Plus coffee, tea, or cocoa was available all huge-big plus through the day to warm up. We’re definitely gonna make it an annual trip.

The staff was exceptional and very welcoming. The Breakfast was amazing and cook was great and cooked perfect waffles for my husband.

For an older motel the only if any complaint i would say you can here the upstairs floor, but I have been in expensive places and had same noises. So I would recommend and stay again if I visited area again .

It's at a good location, beds were comfortable and breakfast was decent.

There was a big group of folks that came in a bus and finished most of the breakfast. When we later came in they were out of milk and fruits. When requested, they said they are out for today. That seemed a bit unprofessional to me.

Missy at the front desk was awesome and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the attendant, I didn't get his name, was friendly and helpful and always greeted us with a smile! All staff was helpful whenever we asked them a question. The hotel was just a short walk away from pretty much anything in the city. Water pressure in the shower was great.

The room was comfortable, with a good size and a clean bathroom. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast had toasts, eggs, coffee, even apple and bananas. Worth it considering the price and location.

More than not liking, it was just something small: because the furniture is not new, one of the chairs had a stain. It had tried to be cleaned, but again, it is not new.

Good location....pricing reasonable...was able to accommodate request for a 2nd night stay. Breakfast was good. Cook kept breakfast area clean .

Direct TV services were out...so no tv...but sometimes we need to step back and realize not all vacations should be centered around tv

Great location with free parking and full inclusive breakfast. Very spacious bedroom. We were very happy with our choice.

Sound proofing was poor. But we have been finding that generally in Alaska due to the age of some of the properties.
