Guesthouse in a good location albeit a little noisy from the road. Firm bed which is fairly standard, good breakfast variety included and dinner option as well as a bar(no red wine though). They looked after our bags whilst we did The Loop. We stayed on the 2nd floor in rooms 12 and 14 (14 a fair bit nicer if a little more expensive, 12 was a bit of a strange setup with the toilet and shower separate and right at the end of the bed!) Nice balcony to watch the going ons below.

No TV, as I’ve already mentioned on other post pretty steep stairs to upper floors.

It is a beautiful heritage building. Feels like ‘thé place to stay’. The staff, especially the girls at the restaurant, are very nice and cheerful. The restaurant is quite good although some menu items are smaller than expected. The location is wonderful. The restaurant is a nice place to sit anytime. As are the balconies if you have one.

Not all the rooms are special. The cheaper standard rooms do not always have windows on the outside and mine was a bit smelly. I booked with discount but I do not think they are (all) worth the price. The more expensive rooms upstairs (I stayed twice)) are really nice. However on the front there is noise from the road.

Centre of town Friendly helpful staff Breakfast included thou small Food good although on the higher end of prices. Has air extraction in the bathroom area and good air conditioning units in the bedroom area.

The pizza base is chewy; skip that choice. Paid a reduced offseason deal price per night 40/50 USD. So price is ok at the reduced rate. 100USD per night would be high in my view.

Without any doubt the most atmospheric place to stay in downtown Thakhek. We especially loved the dark wooden floors and our romantic balcony. Our room was spotless clean and comfortable, without all the extras that we never use anyway, and even came with a lovely hot shower. Included breakfast was simple but delicious and served with a smile in the great open restaurant downstairs. Filter coffee as much as you want. Service was friendly and helpful. Initially there was some confusion about the room we booked, but the staff was very understanding and willing to look for a solution. We regretted we only could stay one night and definitely would choose again for Inthira on a next visit to Thakhek.

Hard mattress though (but nice soft pillows).

Great location. The restaurant had good options and was a very nice place to sit, relax and people watch. The waitress and the man at the reception were very very kind and helpful. The breakfast included with the room was great.

It was cheaper to book on Booking.com than directly through them which usually isn’t the case since I assume a hotel booking company takes a cut, but a good thing to know.

Good location, balcony was good (2nd floor) to watch the street going ons. We were upgraded to the 3rd floor which was a nicer room but no balcony so we went down a floor. Breakfast was good. They looked after our back packs whilst we did the ‘loop’.

Great location. It is a very old, historic building and if you booked a room with a little balcony, it feels like you are back in time. The room has the atmosphere of forgotten times. Also the coffee and restaurant on ground level are worth a visit.

While the building is old, the facilities are as well. I had to move to another room with a lack of atmosphere.

Good location, short walk to the water to watch the sunset. Close by to restaurants. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The balcony was great, to have some fresh air.

The listing stated that you could organise tours there, but when I asked I was told that people usually organise them themselves. Wasn't too big of an issue as I was only there for a short time.

Location was great, near some good cafe's and restaurants. Easy to take a walk round and see the area. Room was very clean . Breakfast was good but just off a menu with not much choice if you were vegetarian.

Our room had a funny smell to it which was a little off putting.

A really stylish and comfortable hotel right in the heart of the old town. The bar and restaurant were really nice and we’re a great meeting place.

The staff were quite unhelpful. They could offer no information about tours bus journeys etc in spite of the giant banner outside the hotel boasting that they did. There was no room service so the bins got very unpleasant and we had to ask for them to be emptied.
