I almost never give 10 out of 10, but hotel het Anker deserves it. For the price, there couldn't have been a better stay in de Cocksdorp. The village is small enough that it's in easy walking distance of everything major, and you can also walk to the lighthouse. The small single room was indeed small, but well designed and comfy. looking over the garden, the sun came in the window in the morning. I really liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom and the hot water ran very quickly in the shower. Good quality towels and clean room. The breakfast was also fantastic: scrambled eggs and fried mushrooms/tomatoes cooked regularly by the staff, and tasty bread, rolls, croissants etc. Tea and coffee were free at all times in the lounge and other drinks available for a low price. The WiFi worked well and staff were friendly. Absolutely recommend!!!

A couple of very small points. A shelf near the bed would be handy so the phone doesn't have to sit on the bed while charging. I did hear some noise from the other rooms, too.

I had a delightful stay at this charming, small family-owned hotel. The cozy ambiance and the peaceful atmosphere of the quiet street made it the perfect retreat. Plus, the convenience of easy parking and numerous dining options in the vicinity added to the overall wonderful experience.

While my stay was quite enjoyable, if I were to suggest an improvement, it would be to provide guests with an email detailing the check-in procedure. This small addition would make the arrival process even smoother and enhance the overall guest experience.

Cute little place, very clean and at a reasonable price. Informal atmosphere with a very smooth self check-in. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate changes in the booking, and was very helpful even after we left. I had forgotten a personal item, and they very kindly agreed to send it to me through the mail.

Cozy little hotel in the centre of the village. Everything was nicely prepared by the owners for self check-in. We had a garden room facing the fields in the back, very relaxing. Breakfast was really nice too? Lots of variety to choose from.

The expectation of this kind of hotel is that it is personal and friendly. That was most definitely the case. Also on my first morning, I had an early round of golf and normally breakfast is served later. But the staff was so kind to serve breakfast a bit earlier so I could have breakfast before my round.

There is not much I can say about what I didn't like. But the only thing, might be the tiny shower. However, considering that the hotel is in a house and there is not much room, I can't say that it is a bad thing. Just slightly inconvenient.

The place was very nice, the breakfast was very good. The restaurant for having dinner was next door, so very comfortable. Our room had a view at the meadow and although it was early mart we heard the birds in the afternoon as well in the evening. Very relaxing.

The toilet did not flush properly.

It was really nice, comfortable and so chill! Free coffee and tea all day long, a well-filled fridge with local bears and sodas as an honestly style bar and a quiet garden to enjoy with your complementary nuts 😊👌

You may experience some noise from the wind around the house but, hey, it is Texel right.

Everything about the place was amazing. Very cozy. The location is a bit far from the ferry stop however the cycle ride there was worth it. The lighthouse is close by and the beach is never crowded and beautiful. The rooms were in great condition, the hosts were very kind and cordial. The breakfast made by the hosts were top notch as well. They were very helpful, and provided me information on where I could get my phone fixed after it fell while cycling. Amazing people.

I loved everything about this place. Nothing negative.

Noisy people returning late at night -midnight who slammed doors and woke me up. That is not the fault of the hotel though.

Great, friendly staff - you feel right at home. Modern, cosy and quite large rooms. Tasty and varied breakfast. Plus a lounge for communal use, outdoor spaces, bicycle parking. Close to restaurants and attractions on the island. Everything was absolutely perfect - highly recommended!
