It has a bidet but the system is quite silly (it flushes without covering or sometimes doesn't auto flush). The breakfast is great with a variety You can do your laundry with a dryer FOC You also can ask the desks for assistance on your recommendations from qunar (monastery, balagezong, po ta sor etc). They have a private driver if you're in a large group else best to book from other tours on qunar The oxygen tank in the some rooms is brilliant to counter the altitude sickness

The bidet needs improvement Sometimes don't just listen blindly to the recommendations from the desk person. Exercise your own judgement while travelling. One of them said we could get a taxi to balagezong when a tour is better cause we do not want to stay overnight.

Wonderful warm and quiet rooms; super clean; excellent location: Not very far from the amazing Shangbala Tibetan Culture Museum - only USD 1.50 [10+ RMB] by taxi. Many restaurants and a very modern supermarket are in easy walking distance of the Hotel. There are several pharmacies and a TCM shop nearby. Problems with the high altitude - 3400 m? Try taking Rhodiola rosea / 紅景天, which costs rather little.

Shangri-la has a rather slow i-net, which is not the fault of the hotel. The breakfast is more than fair as this hotel is inexpensive. Order your own eggs, as Chinese seem to overcook them. Some but not all of the reception staff need more training / more English.

Great location close to restaurants and small shops. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast buffet had sufficient options for locals and international guests, including coffee.

Staff tried to suggest an upgrade at check-in for RMB150 per room per night for better view and piped-in oxygen. Thought they could have given free upgrade if the rooms were available. Our room ran out of shower gel and it took more than half an hour for them to sort it out. Staff could be better trained.

Very comfortable room with facilities provided such as washing machine and iron on the ground floor. Strategic location and very easy to get a taxi. Thank you to the staff who were very helpful to us.

It is very interesting and comfortable if the hotel provides halal meals and the staff waiting at the hotel entrance to help guests lift and unload their luggage. 😊

Could do with staff that could speak some English. I was given a room I didn’t book and there was too much insisting to take the room instead of changing to the one I booked. Breakfast room is a nightmare with poor choices. Seemed anyone can eat breakfast there since there was no control to check if they were guests of the hotel or not.

Smoking in elevator and lounge area. Ash tray was provided !! Staff not proficient in English. Staff probably not trained to add value as service to customer eg. Staff talking between them instead of seeing what customer may need at breakfast

Good overall experience. Staff was helpful and nice. The location is not far from the main attraction that can be easily reached by taxi.
