Smell of the lenins

I don't know how to estimate sincerely this hotel, because it's written "1 star hotel". Maybe it should be like that. It was mostly clean inside. Staff is friendly, when you need some help with accomodation, they help immediately.

Very bad smell from bathroom. Toilet flush was broken so I had to use bucket with water. Water sometimes was absent in faucets. I found at least two big lazy cockroaches in bathroom. Air conditioner was very weak (maybe because very old). There was no toilet paper, soap in bathroom in the beginning. Later I received it. Room for two, but the only one chair at the table. No fridge in room. And maybe all this would be acceptable for "1 star hotel". But price. What I was most disappointed with was the value for money. For such hotel, for small Maasin city it is inappropriate price I guess. I used to be in hotels in the Philippines in cities bigger than Maasin, quality of rooms was much higher and price was cheaper or the same

Good location right on the main street in Maasin very close with walking distance to the port. A bit dated, no luxury, but still functional, definitely good for a one night transit stay.

I stayed here for 1 night during a cycling bikepacking trip around Leyte the night before my ferry to Cebu. It is a basic hotel and I found it to be as I expected from the previous reviews, it met my simple needs of a bed and a shower. Centrally located close to the Port of Maasin around the corner and a short walk to Maasin Cathedral square. Staff were helpful with my questions.

Had a double bed instead of twin beds (was marked as prone to happen, but would have liked an alert). Also, the toilet flush wasn't working.

Tv has no remote control. There is no convenience outlet near bed

WiFi worked off an on

WiFi could have worked better, it did need a good cleaning, not just what they could reach

Bed has stains, i booked for 1 double bed we got 2 separate.. too old..noisy you could hear the other rooms... even with light it still is dark.. it kinda looks creepy.. pictures are definitely better than in person. just expect that this is a BUDGET HOTEL. LIKE LITERAL BUDGET.
