I arrived at about midnight, and despite a mix-up with my booking, at entirely my fault, I was checked in immediately. I had been given an upgrade to an executive suite, which was a surprise and was very comfortable. Although there were two TV screens I did not watch any programs and they remained off. I had priced an Uber to take me to a particular temple but the Duty Manager Ms Sweta B, offered the Hotel's car and driver for up to 5 hours and 50km for a very good price. She even gave me advice on other sights worth seeing. I probably only used the car for 3 hours. The next day was the same deal and different points of interest. Ms Sweta is excellent and made me feel most welcome, as did all the staff. If I visit Kolkata again, I would definitely stay at the Hyatt Centric again.

I had a deal where i would have three breakfasts and two dinners during my two-night stay. There are two restaurants, but only one was eligible for the deal. I chose the wrong one for the first night. The Asian stir fry was very good and didn't cost much anyway.

The behaviour of the hotel staff is generally exceptional. Beds are comfortable. Clean room. Housekeeping staff is great. Food at Tess is generally quite good. The breakfast team is fantastic. The Tess staff is fantastic.

Buffets, whether breakfast or dinner are not good. Mostly vegetarian, though if you specifically ask for non vegetarian, they will accommodate you. Better selection of tea/coffee in the room would be appreciated. The parties in the hotel are loud, and you can hear it from your room, even at 11 at night. That was awful. I wanted to extend my checkout at 1:45 instead of the 1:00 I had asked for. I wasn't accommodated, even though it was a Monday afternoon.

I like the location of the property, staff are very friendly. Its nice and clean new property.

Cal on Shisha service can be better, lot of wait time. Also on my last day there was a function in the hotel and valet service for cars was atrocious. There was no coordination between valet supervisor and drivers. Had to wait 45 mins plus for my friends car who was dropping me to the airport. Luckily there was no traffic and I made it in time. Aircon took time to cool down the room

Our stay at Hyatt Centric Kolkata was nothing short of phenomenal. Traveling with family often comes with high expectations, and this hotel exceeded every one of them. From the moment we arrived, the location, ambience, and impeccable service set the tone for a memorable experience. The variety and taste of food were exceptional—each dish reflected thoughtfulness and culinary brilliance. The Christmas buffet, in particular, was a standout, showcasing the hotel's ability to create festive magic with precision and creativity. What truly made the experience remarkable was the staff. While it would be easy to list the names of every individual who left an impression—whether at the entrance, front office, restaurants, kitchen, or housekeeping—it feels more fitting to commend the entire team as a cohesive unit. Their dedication to duty, their attention to detail, and their willingness to go above and beyond made our stay unforgettable. We left the hotel with full hearts and a firm resolve to return. Hyatt Centric Kolkata, you’ve set the bar incredibly high. Bravo!

Absolutely everything, the design & decor so tasteful, beautiful, artistic & wonderfully Indian in flavour but also modern - so many exquisite touches & detail. The food was divine - out of this world & the best I’ve experienced, amazing dinner we enjoyed in the ya ya & completely blown away by the breakfast & amount of variety & choice all of which that we had room enough to taste was of the highest quality, freshness & flavours. And the service we received from every member of staff during every encounter from our personalised welcome through to dining & our use of your stunning rooftop terrace infinity pool with such temperate & clean water that we loved, the modern well equipped gym to the warmth and generosity shown to us during check out and event after our departure when we needed help with something was outstanding. Also the rooms & beds were extremely comfortable & complimentary shower products so plentiful and excellent also as well as lovely welcome snacks provided in our room & a beautiful leaving gift, please do not change anything that you all do at all!

Comfortable beds, roof top pool albeit cold, breakfast choice availability. Deb on the front desk provided exceptional service. He made some food choice recommendations and followed them up, as well as making you feel at home each time we met him. Coffee was excellent. Room very comfortable although sensor lights a little distracting although quickly disconnected when asked.

At breakfast, whilst quiet in the restaurant I feel staff whilst very friendly and welcoming they could have been a little more attentive. For example only on the last morning were we asked if we wanted a hot drink. The other mornings we had to ask. Additionally both in the evening (buffet service) and breakfast service on occasion we had to take our used plates away. Maybe only small issues but some further training here would certainly improve overall standards.

There is a reason why this hotel has got the highest rating in this city. Impeccable services, extremely hygienic, superb hospitality! The staffs are extremely courteous, very helpful. Since we had a late flight, we checked out and kept our luggage in their clock room. We needed things from our luggage multiple times , and the staffs never looked irritated or refused to help each time. They were so helpful. Very prompt response by the housekeeping staff also. We were amazed at the service. The hotel has a very modern look and is super clean. The facilities like the roof top restaurant is a must visit during the winter months. Very calming ambience.

The staff were welcoming, particularly at the YAYAVAR restaurant during breakfast service and Cal-On. They were all helpful, particularly Biswajit, Santu, Arpita, Bindiya who greeted us every morning. Adnan was very friendly and helped us with a reservation on Christmas night at Cal-On, and gave us great advice about visiting locations in Kolkata. I stayed at this property two separate visits in December, and will definitely return.

Comfortable room, welcoming staff. Enjoyed the roof pool and the restaurant. Was disappointed with the take away breakfast. We had to leave at 7am when departing and asked for some pastries to be included but only got a very boring, soggy white bread sandwich and fruit. Don’t eat white bread! Not impressed at all with this. Pastries and a warm drink would have hugely improved it. Pick up from airport to hotel was hard to find. If he had a card with our name on would have been easier. I had to ask a stewardess to phone hotel then the driver to find him. Once picked up all was good. The hotel should make it clear that payment for pick up should be made to hotel. I paid the driver plus tip and on check out was asked to pay for the pick up! When I explained I’d already paid driver there was no fuss so that was good but clarifying in advance would be better.

Poor takeaway breakfast.

The sensors for lights under the bed and wash room areas was a big surprise and I was actually delighted. I felt that the hotel actually looked at the pain point of guests and made this arrangement. It helps when we wake up in the morning or at odd hours and there is no need to switch on the lights. It really helps ppl like me to get ahead without wanting to go for the switches. Sohel at the front desk was very communicative and supportive. Excellent hospitality!

There was no table to do my office work. This is a big NO NO. We always need that to put our laptop and work in the evenings or in the mornings.
