Everything was fantastic. Staff were great, especially in fitting us in for extra nights as we kept wanting to stay longer! Breakfast good, restaurant excellent value - spicy prawn with lemongrass was out of this world! Bungalow was clean, well equipped with safe, kettle etc. location is a bit of heaven tho sea was a bit fierce when we were there. We were collected from the station and taken back. Swimming pool was just lovely. Easy walk along the beach road to the village or further to the stunning temple and Buddha. Excellent value for money.

If it was busier maybe a few more beds around the pool. And I really would like a drawer in a room for small items of clothing - maybe it's just me!!!

I can honestly say it was a lovely getaway for me. In fact, it was a return visit. I arrived early and the staff were kind, sweet, and gracious enough to let me check in before the official time very impressive. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Breakfast offered a good variety. They even had free bicycles for guests to use. The atmosphere was peaceful and shady, with swimming pools available in every zone. The resort is right in front of the beach. During the middle of the week, there aren’t many people around, so it’s incredibly quiet and serene.

This place is absolutely fabulous. The bungalows are very clean, well sized and comfortable. Each bungalow is separated by lush Gardens with ferns, bamboo and many tropical plants. The food in the kitchen is some of the best I’ve had in my five months travelling Thailand. But the outstanding thing is the staff. Each and every one of them had a beautiful smile and made you feel like you were at home, not staying in just another property. The beach across the road is quite nice with plenty of shade if you don’t want to lay in the sun the whole time .

Nothing really. The only thing I would say is that if you’re looking for raging nightlife and many late night bars then Baan Krood is not for you. If you want an incredibly chill place with a beautiful beach dotted with small seafood restaurants and a couple of quiet beers watching the sunset, then this is the place for you.

They picked us up and dropped us at the train station for free. They provided bicycles for us to use. That was a wonderful way to see the area. You can also rent motorbikes from them. Breakfast has a great selection of fruit, Thai dishes, omelet/ egg station, couple cereals and good coffee. We ate dinner there three times and were very happy with our meals. Tamarind shrimp was a favourite. The grounds are beautiful, a leafy paradise across the street from a lovely beach. Pools kept clean and perfect temperature of cool and refreshing without being cold. Our room was on the low traffic road so we had some noise from that but the trade off was we could see and hear the ocean which gave a lovely breeze. I would stay again if in the area.

More chairs around the pools and beach would be nice.

Perfect breakfast, nice small pools. The staff is so friendly and helpful it is almost unbelievable. The rooms are awesome - the family one is perfect for 2+2. The bikes while they do lack maintenance can be arranged with a kids seat.

It is a bit far from bankrut, but it's just an excuse to go for an awesome walk along the beach. There are bikes to rent but don't expect Pinarello or Specialized :).

A little away from local bars and restaurants but the use of free bycles made it a simple trip. Very close to the beach and very happy staff who are always pleased to help. One tip the bycles are supplied with a lock but do not have lights which we found difficult to buy so would advise take some small cheap ones with you.

Great location, amazing beach! Excellent place to relax! The hotel has its own restaurant, other restaurants/cafes are about 20 minutes walk. You can take a bicycle or rent a motorbike.

Tropical rainforest like around the pool. Free bikes. Across the road from the beach. They would even serve their excellent meals on the beach. And wonderful , obliging ,friendly staff. We were picked up from, and dropped backed to the train. Even supplied with a surprise free lunch for the train ride.

We found being a little out of town a plus but others may not.

This older property may not be the newest, but it has been beautifully maintained and offers a serene garden retreat atmosphere. The pool is lovely and inviting, and the beach is just across the road, providing plenty of opportunities for swimming and sunbathing. The staff are friendly and helpful, making sure all your needs are met.

Although the included breakfast was very good, we found our dinner to be somewhat lacking. A bit on the expensive side for just average to below average fare.

Love the swimming pools, its so green everywhere, lots of wood, very friendly staff, family friendly, used to stay here when i was a child and it’s still a great place

There are some other guests who are senior citizens who seem annoyed by children and expect the pool to be there own private pool.
