I arrived earlier at the property on 5 January before check-in and staff arranged for my luggage to be moved into my room when I came back after exploring. Dinner was good and subsequently during check out i left my luggage at the counter to explore the town more before my train. When I came back and wanted to leave, staff provided me with a lift to the train station. It was raining at that time and the lift was appreciated despite the train station being quite close by. Excellent services by the staff here and I greatly appreciate it. Definite recommend.

The rooms were in a beautiful traditional Japanese style, with tatami mats, sliding doors and futons. The private onsen did not need to be booked, and was a lovely experience. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, despite our limited Japanese language ability. The hotel also offered luggage storage, and called a taxi for us.

This is not really a flaw (as it's likely due to being in an older building), but be aware that the lift is very small. Every time you exit the hotel you have to give your room key to the desk.

I really enjoyed my stay at Kansuitei Kozeniya. The Japanese-style room was standard, but the private onsen was great and certainly exceeded my expectations for the price. The host was very kind enough to allow for separate booking of dinner and breakfast for my first day staying there, and the food was very delicious. I enjoyed the excellent service by all the staff there, including a shuttle to Tottori station after check-out. Thank you so much!

I experienced the best hospitality I've ever experienced in a small Japanese town. The ability to use the private hot spring without a reservation was the best part. The breakfast was also really classy. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.

I guess it's because of the cost, but it would be nicer if the public hot springs were a little cleaner, especially in the morning.

A smallish onsen hotel with very attentive staff. The breakfast was excellent. The facility was very tastefully designed. I love the pond feature with koi fish you can feed twice a day. Even though it’s really in the city, the grounds made you feel like you are not.

Great Onsen with public bath and private bath which are all good and nice service!!! Location is not far away to the train station. And the staff knows I am going to train station and they directly arrange to drop me off after check out. Perfect Japanese breakfast which I love it!!

Staff examined everything clearly n walked us to our rooms. And served tea to us in our rooms. When we got back fr outing. They also noticed and served us cold tea again. To help us cool down fr the summer sun. Kaiseki dinner was good. Japanese breakfast was good. Service is super. Onsen baths were nice. And had 2 different private baths to choose from... Everything good about this ryokan. Parking was convenient..

Bathroom could do with some refurbishment as well as the private bath area. Futon beds can be a bit extreme for people not used to sleeping on the floor.

The room, meals and onsen were wonderful. On top of that the staff went above and beyond in their service. They were very friendly and helped us many times.

The staff was really friendly and professional - and the private baths were awesome, 5/5 - if you're looking for a real traditional ryokan experience but also like still having AC and modern convenience, you'll find it here.
