The Trident is an Oasis in Agra, a stunning property - 1 Road and 5 mins drive outside of the Taj Mahal East Gate. We took the suite, and the level of service from all members of staff inc the trainees - from housekeeping to the restaurant, poolside, front of house to the general manager was exceptional and epitomises the Oberoi and what it stands for. The hotel pricing at the restaurant and for drinks is okay for a 5* property but is more akin to western pricing than Indian. We had some troubles/ insecurities around getting a 5am train but the hotel provided a member of staff to assist us and wait with us at the station and onto the train which made us feel safe and comfortable. We have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world and this one is right up there with the very best. Thank you to everyone at Trident for making our trip to Taj Mahal unforgettable

Lovely hotel height of luxury

The extras and taxes added to everything, This meant our hotel bill doubled. Staying im a hotel like this you expect your room to be cleaned as standard.

The property was very well looked after. Everything was kept clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful, especially in the restaurant. They happily catered to our very difficult dietary requirements. The rooms were in really good condition. The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained with excellent shower pressure and amenities. The rooms were spacious and clean, with ample luggage space and storage space for hanging items as well as a safe. The pool was clean, and I’m not sure if the temperature was controlled but or not but it felt like a lovely heated pool - still cool and refreshing but not freezing cold, even in the evenings. The gardens, lawns and veggie patches were nice to walk around and explore. We even got to see (and hear) some peacocks on our walk!

I can’t fault the property or the staff. Our experience was wonderful.

I loved EVERYTHING!!!! Pictures do not do the property justice! It’s a beautiful hotel and the facilities were second to none. However, the service was the highlight of our stay! We were greeted with blessings which made us feel so welcomed, had the hotel sort a wonderful trip to Taj Mahal, had a chance to see a traditional puppet show, and were met with the most professional and thoughtful service we’ve ever encountered anywhere in the world (and we travel a lot!!). We were so impressed! We were particularly happy with the service provided by Grison, Deepti, Arnav and Roshan.

From the moment we arrived, this hotel exceeded our expectations. The bed was an absolute dream—plush, supportive, and perfect for a restful night’s sleep. Stepping outside, we were greeted by a beautifully manicured green patio, a serene oasis that provided the perfect escape from the bustle of daily life. Service was impeccable—efficient, friendly, and always a step ahead of our needs. Every request was met with prompt attention, making my stay seamless and enjoyable. Whether for a short getaway or an extended stay, this hotel delivers on comfort, ambiance, and hospitality. I’ll definitely be returning!

Great customer orientation. Highly trained and motivated staff that leaves no stone unturned… Location is about 3 km from Taj east end gate.. The property is scenic with nicely manicured lawn, landscape and a decent sized pool… they have some programs for guest entertainment like pottery etc. The staff made our stay memorable by decorating the room and sending out a personalised handwritten card and cake for our 25th wedding anniversary. That gave my wife such a high… The breakfast was exceptional too with wide & scrumptious spread and dedicated servers providing customised attention and engagement. Throughly enjoyed our stay…

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Trident Hotel, and I can’t say enough good things about my experience! The hotel boasts lovely, well-maintained gardens that create a serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. The staff, from the doorman to the housekeeping team, were incredibly attentive, helpful, and friendly, making us feel welcomed throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and impeccably clean, with great attention to detail that truly enhanced our comfort. The beautiful gardens and pool area provided a lovely setting to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. I would like to give a special shout-out to Tina at the front desk and bartender Vivek, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their warm hospitality and personalized service made a significant difference. We also attended the wonderful Christmas gala dinner on Christmas Eve, which featured a tasteful and delicious spread of both Indian and Western cuisine. It was a delightful culinary experience that added to the festive spirit of our stay. Overall, I highly recommend the Trident Hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious and enjoyable getaway. Nothing to complain about at all

Exceptional hotel with wonderful central swimming pool.The planted area around the swimming pool was outstanding.Superb ambience as you walk into the foyer.Service is a bit hit and miss for a five star hotel.Our bedroom had 2 single beds joined together.I asked for them to be separated.This was agreed but not done.So i had to ask again before it was done.Also i had to ask twice for our luggage to be taken to the foyer.The service in the bar was a bit slow although the staff were quite pleasant . Overall a superb hotel.

Very nice stay at Trident Agra. Nice property, fantastic breakfast, very attentive staff, especially at the restaurant. Added value - the hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the metro line. Though the metro line is short as of now, it brings you at to the entrance of the 2 most important points of interest in Agra - the Taj Mahal and the Agra fort. The pool and the green are lovely and the evening activities for the kids is a nice bonus.

We came into Agra for one night to visit the Taj Mahal and were running late so we went straight to the Taj before it closed. My daughter was not feeling well so I went back with her to the Trident. The Trident not only checked her in quickly, but they told me to go back and see the Taj Mahal- "they would take care of her". The staff not only escorted my daughter to her room, but they got her tea service and hot a water bottle-making sure she was o.k. before they left. Then when we decided we needed her to see a doctor, they got one for us right away. AND our other daughter had just celebrated her engagement. We had told the hotel that we were celebrating an engagement but not whose it was in our party of 12. They figured it out and left a "congratulations" chocolate cake with rose petals on her bed as a surprise. The staff were incredible - would highly recommend.

The shower was a bathtub shower that was difficult for my mother-in-law to get in and out of. Dining room could have dimmed the lights a bit at night for better ambiance. Everything else was excellent.
