I stayed here for 15 nights. The staff were helpful, well-mannered and very friendly. Property is within a 5-minute walking distance from Laxman Jhula, it’s a 4-storey building and is very clean. Plenty of facilities available, including a gym and swimming pool (although I didn’t use them). The breakfast at its Holy Oven is very tasty, which caters for both Indian and Western tastes. The room service meal delivery is very quick and is available 24-hours. I would not hesitate to come back to this wonderful hotel and its wonderful staff. Thank you for a great stay.

Not the fault of the hotel but there was a lot of building work going on close by that seemed to go on well into the night. Also barking dogs were a bit noisy on occasions. A good pair of earplugs is all that’s needed!

This was my favorite hotel stay in India. It was affordable, clean, comfortable and provided all the amenities. The room was as soundproof as you can get- which matters when you aren’t used to the traffic noise. The restaurant offered delicious food at affordable prices, I was able to have my laundry done and enjoyed a massage at the spa(Laxmi did a great job). Every staff member was warm and accommodating and seemed to genuinely care that I enjoyed my time there. The bed was by far the most comfortable of the many places I stayed. The hotel is close to the action but set just off a main road making it more pleasant to leave the hotel on foot than being right on the busy road. When I come back to Rishikesh this is where I’m staying. Highly recommend ❤️

Zero complaints

There is a lot to like about this hotel. While in the Rishikesh area I stayed in four different hotels between various treks, but this one was clearly the best. Excellent location for everything! No real view, but surrounded by tour operators, restaurants and shops, and hop away from where Indiahikes collects trekkers. Short walk to the Ganges River and Lakshman Jhula. On a busy road but I could not hear any of the noise, the soundproofing is excellent. Wifi good. Modern, secure, very comfortable room, bonus it had a room safe. Every area of the hotel, whether it be my room, gym, massage room, dining area or reception were immaculately clean. That is not an exaggeration, it was spotless. This extends to the pool and outside area which is private from the road. Breakfast was fantastic with great choice and western style coffees available. Breakfast could be enjoyed in airconditioned interior (very quiet) or the paved outdoor area listening to the racket and commotion of Rishikesh. The service was first-rate, with reception helping out when requested, massages booked on a moment's notice, dining staff eager to assist. You can book this hotel with peace-of-mind....

Laundry came back four hours later than agreed.... caused some anxiety when it did not arrive by 4pm but only came back at 8.30pm.

Near main road of laxman jhula. But when you step outside of the hotel be ready for the heavy traffic This hotel is very expensive. I had booked this hotel for my parents and relatives for the 3 nights with superior rooms with breakfast. Breakfast spread was nice. Although they had dinner at the restaurant which was very costly. Like one icecream Scoop is for 120 rupees. Rooms are nice and clean. Also reception staff was very helpful and supportive. Thank you holy river hotel. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and ideally located in a central area, making it easy to walk to a variety of shops and cafes, or hop on a tuk-tuk to explore further. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always eager to assist, greeting guests with warm smiles. Despite being situated on a bustling main road, the hotel was remarkably quiet, with very little outside noise making its way in. I especially loved the serene yoga space, where I could enjoy my self-practice in a calm and peaceful environment. Another highlight was the delicious Indian breakfast offered, which was fresh, flavourful, and a perfect start to the day. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Tapovan.

Absolutely nothing.

The location of Holy River near the Ganges creates a serene and peaceful ambiance, perfect for those looking to relax and unwind in Rishikesh. The rooms were exceptionally spacious, clean, and well-equipped, offering more comfort than we anticipated. From the layout to the amenities provided, everything was thoughtfully designed to create a welcoming environment. The reception staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always available to answer questions and provide assistance with a genuine smile. Even the security personnel at the gate were attentive and courteous, adding to the warm, inviting atmosphere of the hotel. The combined effort of the team made us feel truly welcomed and valued as guests, making it a memorable experience overall.

The breakfast service could use some improvement. There was a noticeable lack of attention from the waitstaff, as we often had to ask for basic items, which interrupted the flow of the meal. Additionally, the selection of breakfast items felt limited and could be enhanced with more options to better cater to a variety of tastes. While the in-room dining was enjoyable, a more attentive and well-organized breakfast experience would make the overall stay even more satisfying.

I had an incredible stay at Holy River Hotel! The front desk staff were extremely helpful in providing recommendations for activities and scheduling. The breakfast was pretty great as well! The room I had was nice, clean, and spacious. The hotel also helped organize airport pickup and drop-off! While I didn't use the gym, spa, or yoga hall services, they also looked quite solid! Will highly recommend Holy River Hotel to friends and family who plan on visiting Rishikesh!

The walls are somewhat thin, so you can hear what's going on in the hallways next to your room. The shower also takes quite a bit of time to heat up. Both of these I found were minor nuisances and not extreme concerns.

It’s impeccable, from service provided by staff to cleanliness, level of comfort, just top notch.

The area where it’s located. For most people, it’s a plus. This is my first time in India, so all the hustle and bustle of the area scared me. I spent 6 nights at this hotel, so gradually I was able to leave the hotel and explore the area a little. Important to point out that once you are inside the hotel, you don’t hear city noises. The sound proofing is excellent.

Location was key. In Tapovan with easy access to Lakshman Jhula and Ma Ganga at Sai Ghat. There was great view of Ma Ganga from the window of our 4th floor room. Room was clean and staff was courteous. Front desk folks Suraj and Anand were exceptional at providing information and arranging taxi services. Very warm and friendly. Food was tasty and hygienic.

In this hotel the staff is excellent. Always ready to help at any time. Specifically, the Desk Manager Mr. Suraj Gupta and Miss. Harjeet, these 2 are very sensible and most knowledgeable people. Also at Breakfast,Lunch and dinner Mr. Jaydevsighji is brilliant in managing the food and refreshments for guests. Jaydevsingh is the person behind the well managed and well organized morning breakfast, and the room service under Jaydevsingh's supervision deserves 10 out of 10. I strongly recommend Hotel Holly River for everyone. In this hotel, hygiene and health and shower facilities are excellent. And they installed 2 separate elevator. 1 for guests and 1 for staff, so no more waiting and wasting of time. Truly speaking, Hotel Holy River is a gem in the crowd of other hotels. For Rishikesh, your best stay can be only Hotel Holy River.
