Room and breakfast were both great. This was the second of two stays, a week apart. The setting and grounds were tranquil and serene. An area was set aside for smoking, but not in the main areas, and adherence to non-smoking rules was appreciated. Paradors maintain a certain standard of care and maintenance across all areas, including breakfast. The bar and bar staff were great - sangria at the end of the day was most welcome.

It was 32C, but the pool wasn't open until 1 June. Dinner was not available in the restaurant until 8.30pm,and sandwiches in the bar (bodega) not available until 8.30 pm either. That's too late for people who may have been travelling all day (I know that 8.30pm is routine in Spain). Dinner menu was not that appealing.

This was our second visit to this hotel which is our favourite of all the paradors we have visited. Its' location is excellent, it is a delightful building and is convenient being only 3-4 minutes walk to the town square. The facilities and rooms are well spread out and this creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere. We used the restaurant and enjoyed our meal but unlike the previous visit we didn't use the bar/cafe where we had enjoyed food and drink.

What a unique, special location. The historical architecture of this restored 17th century convent is stunning and the artwork throughout just beautiful. Room was very spacious. Great wifi connection. We had such a great experience that we ended up extending our stay an extra night. It also sparked our interest in the other historical Paradores locations. Overall, highly recommend!

Bathroom tiles are not fitting with the original finishes and a little dingy (you can tell it was remodeled in the 80s). The pool area was far from relaxing, too many children screaming. The breakfast was overpriced and lacked fresh juice and proper coffee.

The hotel is located in an old building which has been beautifully maintained. The gardens and outside spaces are fabulous, very tranquil. The town centre was only 5 mins walk away

The breakfast wasn’t as good as other hotels we’ve stayed in and it was a bit disorganised. I tried to make a cafe con leche from the machine but ended up with a cup of brown water.

The location & atmosphere of this Parador was excellent, very interesting building. Tastefully transformed to an hotel. The room was large & beds very comfortable. We very much enjoyed a drink in the court yard before dinner. Dinner was excellent.

Found the surrounded town very quiet but interesting buildings, to take photos.

An absolutely beautiful old convent. There are lots of pretty courtyards and separate areas. It has a serene, peaceful aura, which makes it very relaxing. The pool area is small but beautiful. The bedroom was charming and well decorated.

The beds were quite hard.

The hotel is a beautiful old building which has been renovated in keeping with the style. Immaculate throughout. Staff were friendly and went out of there way to rearrange room to accommodate us with a double bed which was comfy. Lovely large rooms. . They also helped with electric socket outside so we could charge our car (slow granny charge).

Disappointed couldn't get on to internet, some issues with this. The hotel is large and finding way round not easy. Could do with giving information when checking in re hotel layout, times of restaurant openings and internet details. They were on the tv but this was not explained when checking in. After asking we were given a slip of paper with opening times. Reception was very busy, people checking in.

Beautiful old building dating back to early 17th century. Our Junior Suite was huge and furnished with many authentic pieces of furniture and original wall paintings. Charming grounds with patios, gardens and a big outdoor swimming pool. Convenient gated parking, pleasant staff, reasonable price. If there is a hotel where you truly interact with history every moment of your stay, this is the one.

Absolutely nothing to complain about

Probably the best Parador that we have stayed in! Almagro is a gorgeous traditional looking Spanish town and the Parador is in a beautiful building a 2 minute walk from the Plaza Mayor. The swimming pool was a highlight for us as deeper than most pools, and bonus the bar just next to it. The bedrooms are spacious and so clean with such good bed linen. The breakfast was nearly as good as the setting in the old rectory and the dining room with shallow pools.

The location of the breakfast room was fine. As was the choice of continental breakfast. Location of hotel and facilities were excellent.

More choice in regards to a cooked breakfast would have been nice. Also more choice on menu in restaurant
