The staff were friendly and helpful, we enjoyed a lovely meal in the evening with excellent high quality local produce well cooked for a reasonable price. Comfortable bed, well equipped room - we both had a good night's sleep The location is perfect, above the fast flowing River Lot - there is quite a lot of noise from the water flowing over the rocks just above the hotel.

The bathroom was functional but fairly small.

What a beautiful secluded spot next to the river this accommodation sits in. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly even when I turned up 2 hrs before check-in. They let me into my room and my bike was safe in there with me. The accommodation was spotless and there was a couple of options for breakfast. You can also have an evening meal there too.

Food was simple but lovely, the lady managing reception was really friendly, the atmosphere was chilled and friendly, room size wonderful, setting beautiful...

The square pillows (but that seems to be a French thing...), the shower worked very well, but it is a wet room so the entire floor gets wet...

Location lovely. Loved walking by stream. Accommodation very clean and very comfortable. Really nice. Lady who was staffing very lovely, patient and helpful. Plus very accommodating on our journey when realised time we’d arrive and they helped us order food in time.

Not enough time there!

We arrived early and were not able to access our room but did use the pool area to relax. The young lady who worked there was absolutely lovely but we did get the impression overall (not from her) that everything was strictly controlled. Our room was very good and facilities were nice. The pool was a nice bonus on a hot day.

Beers were pretty expensive and the food options were limited and not that exciting. The food itself was mediocre at best. Dessert was pretty tasteless shop bought fare. Breakfast (which was extra but only 7€) was adequate but, again, not very exciting or varied. We ordered the charcuterie as a starter with some more beers but were told by the manager that we couldn't eat them in our room! The charcuterie boards were small and unexciting too. The place has potential but they could do a lot better with regard to menu options, quality and breakfast selection.

Dog friendly, access directly from bedroom to outside, quiet, good road links, breakfast good with cheese and ham included (this is an upgrade to standard breakfast cost) simple evening meal selection available, friendly helpful staff, on site parking included

Location was great. Owners were lovely, very accommodating, small room but had everything i needed for a well deserved evenings rest. Home made food was excellent.

Bathroom shower area was a bit tired but that's about it!

Earlier check in? Breakfast laid out individually - so limited choice, however quality was good, especially the coffee.

Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, if you want to walk near the river is OK, if you don't then there is a problem. You cannot sit in the balcony and relax because usually the place is full of children who play in the pool making too much noise all the time. I do not think it is a good place for people with no children because they will go crazy! Also there is no food served so you have either gone to the super market before, or you have to go the nearest city (7 Km) to find something to eat.

Stunning setting great food lovely rooms

Only negative. Owner insisted we return to room at 11 as other guests were in rooms. It was only place to sit outside so a shame as it was really great stay
