Beautiful historic home. Our sea view suite was perfect. Spacious, stunning original floors, and the decor was lovely. The bathroom was spacious with a large walk-in shower. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner Art who explained his wife would be home shortly. We stayed two nights. We enjoyed the breakfasts and the company of our fellow guests. We were so comfortable we found ourselves calling it home!

We stayed here for 2 nights while doing a tour of Nova Scotia, from here your only a few minutes from Annapolis Royal and Port Royal which have some very interesting historical sites. You are only about 1 hour away from East Ferry and the whale watching tours (check out Petit Passage Whale Watch). Art and Martha are very welcoming, and their home is very cosy and has a lot of history to it, check out the horseshoe mark on the dining room floor. We arrived late afternoon and Art helped arrange dinner at a local restaurant 'The Crows Nest Hillsburn' which is where we had the best chowder of our trip. Breakfast is cooked fresh by Martha and includes cake, tea and coffee are on tap 24/7 from the dining room. We had a room at the front of the house which had an air con (but we didn't need it) and a view overlooking the water. The room was clean, tidy, and very homely. The bathroom is separate from the bedroom but still private and not available to other guests (you can only do so much with a 300-year-old house). We would recommend it to others and would stay again if we are back in the area.

Grand Oak Manor is an excellent place to stay. Tucked away in Granville Ferry, across from Anapolis Royal, the B&B is a beautiful historic building with an interesting history almost 200 years. Our room was very large including a bed and comfortable chairs. The view out our window was stunning. Our bathroom was also large. The Inn is located off the road and very quiet. It was nice to sit outside on the broad lawn where my wife did watercolor drawings. Breakfasts were excellent with fresh baked pastries and muffins. Of course, I have to mention our hosts, Art and Martha. They are the nicest and most helpful people you could meet. This is what a bed and breakfast experience should be. Small , beautiful home, wonderful grounds, great breakfasts, and friendly hosts.

What a wonderful B and B. Our room was clean and spacious. The grounds and gardens were beautifully manicured and abundant with flowers and vegetables. The shower and bathroom was entirely updated with fluffy towels, comfy bathrobes,and and plenty of hot water. Spectacular view of the water from our room!

The only thing we did not like is the short time we had to stay at this grand place!!

Granville Ferry is predominantly a residential area over looking the sea channel across from Annapolis. Travel to Annapolis is by by car but only 5 minutes drive away. The view from Grand Oak Manor is superb and very relaxing. Our room was beautifully presented and very clean and tidy. The old world furniture fitted in well with the style of house. Our hosts were excellent and like most Canadians we meet, were extremely friendly. Breakfast in the morning was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed.

Lovely old historic home with attractive gardens. Very clean and spacious and quiet room. Friendly innkeepers with helpful suggestions.

Breakfast was good, but additional protein (such as eggs ~ even hard-boiled) would have been a nice balance to lots of carbs.

owners are friendly and accommodating. inn is small abs we got to know the other guests. breakfast delicious every day

our room was adequate altho had no dresser or any place to put items from our suitcase. other two rooms were larger and had storage. all else was great and owners are very friendly and eager to make guests feel comfortable and cared for

Very nice and friendly owners welcoming their guests upon arrival and providing lot's of good information and suggestions. The house itself is very famous with an interesting history and stories. Extremely rich breakfast prepared by the owners should satisfy every taste. The overall impression - you feel like being home with friends. Recommend this place in you need a stay in Annapolis Royal.

The location in Granville Ferry was very good. This historic home is well preserved, clean and comfortable with spacious rooms. This was our second visit to Grand Oak Manor and we will definitely return again. Our hosts, Art and Martha are friendly and helpful. We even played cards and board games with them. The breakfasts are full and delicious! We would highly recommend this B&B.

Awesome breakfast, just the best. The place is beautiful and and hosts very friendly and helpful. The house is very interesteing, with all its history. I enjoyed playing the pump organ!
