We were looking for a nice place to stay on our visit to Jasper National Park. This place was a good choice since it is relatively near the park. The city of Valemount is small and nice. It has a great bike park. I went jogging there early in the morning and had great views of the mountains and the forest.

The pictures show a nicer hotel than the way it is now days. Now it looks a bit more ruinous. The parking lot was full and very very tight, but we did manage to find always a parking place. The air conditioning was noisy, but at least it made a constant noise. It lulled us to sleep, diminishing the noises from outside.

From the negative reviews, we were a bit reluctant, but we needed a half way point to overnight in. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the suite, 3 beds, and 2 washrooms, plus a kitchenette. It was also nicely decorated...Yes the place could use a deep clean...but the location is great and the staff was very welcoming and kind. We definitely would stay again next time we need to overnight in valemount! Plus we dined at the Caribou Grill and the food was amazing!!!

Replace some of the bedding and a good deep clean along with removal of the carpet would make the suite we stayed in pretty amazing!

Breakfast? What breakfast? Beds were comfortable and room was nice and clean.

A heads up from the check in staff about no restaurants in town being open for breakfast would have been nice. We aren’t lovers of fast food. Only two restaurants in town open for late supper when we arrived at 7:30. Good thing we decided to do that before we settled in or we’d have been hungry that night. We stayed in 181 and the step down into the room at the door is dangerous. Having no sauna or hot tub working was disappointing. A bar?? What bar? No one told us there was a bar there.

It was clean and parking was easy. The location was central, which made it easier for me to stop and head back on my way the next day.

The shower was not consistent; you have to turn the shower head counterclockwise to turn it on. I accidentally turned on the hot water to full, thinking I was shutting it down. Had to step away from the shower quickly to avoid getting burned.

The family suite was 2 connected rooms with 3 bathrooms that made for an easiy management of the kids for out 2 night stay. The staff were great to work with and were ok with us storing our mountain bikes inside the room as long as they were clean and we didn't mark up anything.

It's an old motel but well kept and clean.

The place was very, very clean with tiny Korean shampoos in the bathroom (I had to try one!). It was close to everything and had lots of available parking. The guy at the front desk was super nice and there were little candies at the reception. It was a good basic motel for a very reasonable price.

The cable had multiple TSN channels and not much else which was weird but I was not there to watch TV so it was ok

I did have trouble finding the hotel, but it was dark when I arrived. I had the address, and found 5th avenue but the streets were named (Fir, Spruce, etc.), not numbered, so I was a little lost. I asked at a local coffee shop. Once I got there the staff member at the desk was very helpful. I had everything I needed for the night. The room was spotless. Thank you for such a clean establishment. The hotel is not a new facility, but very clean.

Beautiful mountain views to enjoy from suite window and balcony. Convenient when travelling through on the highway, yet quiet. Comfortable King size bed with padded headboard, dining set, TV, fridge, coffee maker, hairdryer so everything you need for a restful stay. Close to a pub and restaurants, Chinese takeout delivery available.

Nothing to report

Our stay was late in the evening and we left very early the next day. There was no opportunity to really "evaluate" most of the things you've suggested. We arrived late in the evening and left early the next morning. We needed to be on our way!

The room (#180) was clean, I think the room was recently painted and updated, everything worked well and the bed was very comfortable. I expected there to be noise from the room above but I heard nothing. Check in was efficient and the host was friendly to me.

Nothing really, this is an older Inn and it may lack some curb appeal and some of the creature comforts of a new hotel but it was more than adequate for a good night.
