The location of this hotel is ideal as it is within walking distance from almost every major place of interest in Daugavpils. Moreover, the staff were extremely polite and professional and did not mind my lackluster Latvian abilities and also had fluent English. The breakfast was decent enough though it was more limited than I expected. The biplane theme of the hotel was whimsical and interesting. The water being drinkable was also a plus

There was no elevator and the sauna I was told is only available in a single room that needs to be reserved in advance. And though the profile on Booking.com says there is a bar in practice there is no bar, just a mini bar behind the counter with a limited selection. Also there was no option in the room for controlling the A/c. And in the room the toilet was already filled with what appeared to be rust and oftentimes needed to be flushed twice in order to properly work.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. We stayed at the apartment section. It is a separate building across the inner yard. It is one floor, wooden building. Inside, there is all you need for a comfy stay. Utensils, all kind. Freedge, microwave oven, big table. The apartment is specious with high ceilings ( 3-4 m). Big, king-size bed and sofa, which can be transformed into another sleeping place ( I am 192cm and for me it was comfortable to sleep). The bathroom was big with a shower, nothing to add more. Standart. The parking lot was near the entrance to the apartment building (inner yard). We also had breakfast included. The breakfast was nice and tasty (pancakes, tostes, bacon, vegetables, porridge, etc.). The staff was amazing, very kind, informative and always willing to help. As for summary - It is a wonderful offer for this price.

Not really what we did not like, but it is a three star hotel, so if you are in search of a luxurious place, this place would not anticipate your needs. Also, it was hot inside (about 26C), as I understood the heating system is based on heating floors and it is hard to maintain a comfortable temperature.

The staff who were all exceptionally friendly, incredibly helpful and all spoke perfect English.Breakfast was excellent and as much as you could eat. Really good coffee.It was an apartment ,spacious and very clean. Funky room design and huge TV. Full sized fridge freezer, Hairdryer, ironing board kettle, pans, glasses, room safe were all provided.Towels and bedding also noticeably fresh and clean. Large shower, great water pressure. Parking also good. Very quiet. Fun smoking areas outside. Although no air con the fans provided meant it wasn’t an issue even at height of summer. Also appreciated plentiful mirrors and a useable kitchen. Great supermarket and possibly best burger place in the City ,both 3 min walk away. We felt totally safe late at night in this area unlike at times in the centre.

No air conditioning, no coffee or milk in the room.No motion lights on entrance. Perhaps a slightly scruffy exterior.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, spacious car park on the premises (however, can be very busy with no parking spaces left, but there is a free car park just before the hotel near Embassy of Belarus/Hesburger, it's only a minute walk to it), rooms were clean, plenty of towels available. The breakfast seemed to be ok, plenty of choice between cold and hot food... unfortunately had a coffee for my breakfast only, as we were leaving early each day and it was too early for any food. It's a nice and clean hotel for reasonable price.

We had two rooms, one was double and one was single. The single room was too hot. The floor heating (or whatever that was) in the bathroom was constantly on and there was no switch for it. There was no aircon, and I had to sleep with the window wide open, however on some evenings there was a smell of smokes as there was a smoking area under my window, sometimes could be quite noisy. Also, there was no fridge or safe in the single room. The double room was much better, so I should have paid extra and get a bigger room even though it was just for one person.

Very friendly and professional staff, comfortable bed and amazing quality pillows, duvet, bedding. We stayed in the room with sauna and it was big enough for us and our two toddlers. The sofa bed for kids was very comfortable, not like in some other chain hotels. Free parking.

Unfortunately, the pump in the Jacuzzi in our room was broken, and we found out about it only when we filled it with water. Hopefully, it gets fixed before the next guests.

We booked the "family suite". It was a large spartan room with a partial wall separating the bed area from a living room with a large sectional couch and a good sized table with several chairs and a large wall mounted TV. There was a separate kitchen. Breakfast in the dining room downstairs was wonderful. Location by the old town and tram and bus stops was convenient.

Access to our room was unbelievable. It was up three flights of conventional steps, which were uneven, and then up a long metal fire escape style steps, which were short and steep. These short metal steps are, in my opinion, not appropriate for anyone with movement issues or many senior citizens or small children. These steps would not meet code where I live and in many other places.

- The main thing that bumped the score up is the outside yard with several tables under the tents, barbecue zone, trampoline, table tennis - allowing for various outdoor entertainment. - Breakfast included in the price was quite good.

- We had a rather small apartment in a separate standing very old wooden house. The apartment was renovated still the rotten smell was present. - Second bed is located right under the kitchen in a very small room. - Bathroom though quite large was leaking when taking a shower.

I liked almost everything, the room was spacious and warm (it was almost-20 degrees outside so it was important) everything was really great. we arrived on new year’s eve and were given two glasses of prosecco which was really great detail.

the only two things i didn’t like was the bed, it was uncomfortably soft and we needed to move the two mattresses together in the morning and the other thing i didn’t like was that in the kitchen wasn’t even salt or little bit of oil, so if you want to cook you need to buy everything.

A good location hotel with great offers just a rock through away from Daugavpils city centre. Rooms and beds are comfortable with good conditioner and spacious bathroom. Breakfast is included and there is free parking space.

There is no elevator and some rooms are on the third floor. The gateway to parking lot is really narrow and might be impossible with wider cars- also parking is really tight with almost no room manoeuvre. Breakfast quality and offer differs from day to day so be ready for surprises.

I had a wonderful stay at Biplan Hotel! The staff were incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home. My room was not only clean and comfortable but also uniquely designed, adding a special touch to my experience. The hotel offers great internal parking and the breakfast was delightful, with a wide variety of options. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy and friendly place to stay in Daugavpils!
