The young man at reception was very helpful, and we communicated via Google translate. The location was much nicer than I expected. I thought I'd chosen poorly regarding location, but it was beautiful. There were cafes on street corners full of customers, the streets were tree lined with a French colonial feel to them. And a great park/promenade by the river, where kids were riding small bikes with flashing LED lights around a 'track', as music played.

There wasn't a lift, so be warned. I think there were 4 levels...

This property had an amazing view as well as a lovely rooftop where the five of us smoked and drank. The location was also splendid as it was a short walk from the main part of the city. The staff were so amazing and helped us book the Phong Nha cave tour which made our travel experience so much easier. They included a complimentary breakfast before the tour as well which was super nice! They also cleaned our rooms and had everything folded neatly for us when we got back from the tour. All up a very clean, heartfelt, and lovely stay. Would highly recommend for anyone that wants to stay in Dong Hoi or needs a place to stay to day trip to the Phong Nha national park. Thank you very much!

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming - my room was huge! Very comfortable bed and plenty of windows to let in natural light. The location is great and the wi-fi worked a treat. I didn't realise I needed to flick the switch for hot water (so I had a couple of icy showers) as I hadn't stayed anywhere with that requirement yet - it would be helpful if they made note of this at check-in or had clearer information in the room to make it obvious - but they were super nice about this when I asked and helped immediately so this is not a complaint at all, just a note :) A wonderful stay - I would highly recommend

The room is perfectly clean, actually the whole house is clean. The bed is comfortable and the room including bathroom are spacious. There is AC and a heater in the room. It's in a great location with shops and many coffee shops and restaurants just outside the door. The river promenade across the street invites for an evening stroll. The staff here is very friendly and kind.

We were upgraded to the nam long plus hotel so this review is for that hotel Everyone was very friendly and helpful, they arranged a taxi from the airport, gave advice and had a laundry service. The rooms were spotlessly clean with plenty of space and good Aircon. The location was good near to the river and the night walking street, but on a quiet street. No noise. A taxi/golf buggy to Nhat le beach cost 30 - 60k. Breakfast is extra but is cooked to order, we had banana pancakes which were lovely, but they also had Vietnamese food. We would definitely go back

Good attitude towards customers. At first we got a room that was a bit dark and the water pipes smelled. The problem was solved quickly, we got a room with a great view in another building of the hotel instead. We really enjoyed our stay and the view!

The first room was a bit scary...

Location! Right on the perfect corner for coffee, amazing street food and Andy's Bar right next door. Comfortable bed and pillows. Clean bathroom.

This was our second stay at this hotel. We really enjoyed our first stay, and I requested to have the same room. However when we got there it was a different room, and there were no towels or warm blanket. I understand now that the requested room had already been booked, but I would have been more understanding if they were just up front about that from the beginning. I still would have booked here. Perhaps that is just a cultural misunderstanding. Anyway we got back to the hotel that night around 11pm and everyone was asleep, so we couldn't get any blankets or towels. Hot water stays hot for about 3 minutes before going luke warm.

Plenty of natural light, huge balcony, comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom clean with lots of hot water. Overall the room and bathroom were clean by Western standards. The location is perfect, we had a view of the river, the bridge as well as some of the night life around. We could also see the Tam Toa church from our private balcony. It's located right outside some excellent food and drink stalls that open at night, and coffee shops and ice cream stores line the main street. There is a super friendly and bumpin' bar next door that you can get beer at, and they turn their music down at a reasonable hour so you can still have a great night sleep with the window open! Would 100% recommend for anyone coming through here. Will stay here again if we spend more time in Dong Hoi.

Firstly, the extreme kindness of Hana, the hotel's owner ! Our night bus was expected to arrive at 3am, and she had accepted this very late check-in. we've finally arrived at 5am and she was here with her sympathetic smile. Then, she organised our bus journey better than we could expect. She is really good at it! The room was very clean, with a nice seaview. The hotel is very well placed, near the sea front and center town. Breakfast was good. Also, she speaks well English, making easier communication. Possibility of rent motorbike and laundry service. Thanks again for everything 🙏🏼

Good stay, room was easy but clean. Hot water was good but the amount of hot water was just for one person, normal speed. The breakfast was splendid, the host was perfect, very welcoming to speak to someone in English. Safe place to stay, restaurants around .
