✅The beach is just a few steps away ✅ The small town charm vibe ✅ Friendly locals who live nearby ✅ Safety and security in and outside the property ✅ The common area is really relaxing ✅ Bed and pillows are comfortable and clean ✅ T&b is clean. There’s strong pressure in the shower and flush. It is exactly as I imagined when I booked it. Plus points on the sound of waves that you can hear in the property. We’re truly happy when we discovered it the first day. An additional small rack where guests could store their toiletries and personal effects (e.g. lotion, toothbrush, hair dryer) could make the room more homey.

It’s not really bothersome but a little dusting off and polishing on the walls and the benches outside is needed.

The location was superb and the Shack (The Old Parola Seaside Inn's restaurant) served delicious fresh food. The room itself was perfect for a short stay albeit the bed was a little small for two in my opinion. Other than that, the beach was just a minute away. The Inn also had a small garden that was perfect for relaxing and really made the place feel open and calming. That coupled with the sound of the waves really made this place worth every penny.

The only downside was the shower nozzle that didn't work (this could be just the room we were in and not all rooms).

The staff were very helpfull. The attached resturant, The Shack, where you have breakfast serves good food. The chef from Goa prepares every dish with fresh ingredients, best Indian food in the Philippines.

Staff & owners were very helpful and friendly. The Indian restaurant (The Shack) across the road, also run by the owners, provides great food and we ate there numerous times for breakfast, lunch & dinner. We were a large group of 12 -14 people and the accommodation pricing was good value for our budget. Close to the beach. Cooking utensils can be provided upon request.

Unfortunately, the sea wall recently built now blocks the sea view for ground floor rooms but better to lose a view than be washed away in a typhoon. The bamboo huts do need repair. I was almost stepping through the floor. The door knobs on some of the rooms were a bit fiddly too.

The place is great for having peace and quiet, far from ktv, bars, and no noisy guests. At the same time, the place is close to a few restaurants, corner stores, and the beach.

I understand the seawall is there to protect the area from bad weather, I just want to let the other guest know that there is no direct view of the beach if your room is on the first floor.

The best thing that we like is the place amidst the sea wall that was made, everything was awesome, especially the authentic Indian cuisine personally made by the owner of the resort, Ate Lor(the wife's owner and her beautiful 2 daughters), and the staff are exceptional people that we've met thru out our stay there. Truly the best wonderful experience and a highly recommended place to stay at Baler. Thank you so much and hoping to get back to Old Parola Seaside Cottages soon! =)

Rooms are clean, location is good beach is good and most of all staff are respectful.

I saw a little worm came out from the tile when I was showering downstairs room

Very quaint and staff super helpful. The in house restaurant The Shack also serves superb yet affordable food.

Mosquitoes but it can’t be helped I guess.

I like its location. My partner specifically liked the location and we are in a quiet place.

Nothing.

The staffs was very accomodating. The rooms are clean and wifi is accessible. We like the barbecue area it was so peaceful.

No easy access to water at the barbecue area. And the water drainage at the bathroom in the rooms were clogging.
