Breakfast was superb - a wonderful range of lovely breads, pastries, cheeses, charcuterie and juices. The fruit was exceptional - every piece was ripe and delicious. Comfortable and very large bed; good shower and hanging rail for clothes and plenty of drawer space. Access to a beautiful terrace and a bird's eye view of the town's old tiled roofs and the mountains beyond. Helpful and friendly staff. Location is superb - just a few steps from historic buildings, the river, the market, some very good restaurants. We'd come by train and walked to the apart'hotel from the station, finding it much more quickly and easily than I'd expected.

Not enough light in the bedroom! At first we thought we just couldn't find the switches, but looked up at the ceiling and realised there actually weren't any overhead or wall lights! We had two small bedside lamps which gave very little light because they had decorative feathers stuck on to the lampshade which hung down all the way round! Impossible to read or write or look at maps or plans in the evenings. Luckily we'd brought torches with us and used those, but it did seem a bit weird. Please do something about this!

Beautiful room, very spacious with an amazingly comfortable bed and pillows, lovely furnishings, a little kitchen area and tea and coffee making facilities. Nice breakfast and fantastic location right in the centre of town but very quiet at night. Very helpful and pleasant staff.

Very oddly, there was no door on either the bathroom or the toilet, could be embarrassing if you’re not with your partner! The air conditioning didn’t work and although the staff tried to fix it they were unable to, as it was April we opened a window which was fine but May not be in the height of summer! Unfortunately there was no sound insulation from the room above and the guests upstairs were constantly marching around from 6.25am which woke us up, perhaps underlay and carpet would help!

Our stay at Le Clos Violette was truly memorable. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way—beautiful, comfortable, and full of character. From the moment we arrived, the reception was incredibly warm and helpful, making us feel genuinely welcome. The room was delightful, with thoughtful details that made our stay extra special. The breakfast was also a highlight—beautifully composed, delicious, and definitely something we would recommend. Combined with the charm of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue itself, this was a perfect experience. Highly recommended!

This gorgeous historical property is a fantastic value. The room (we were upgraded) was very large and included a full wardrobe and a mini kitchenette, also fitted into a wardrobe. I could have easily taken advantage of the Sunday market to purchase ingredients for breakfast or a light meal, but we were also given free breakfast! The bed was one of the most comfortable I've had in a long time. The large washroom did not have a door, but was still very private. It included double sinks, a large soaking tub, and a separate shower. The property included a very small indoor pool, and a very shady outdoor courtyard. My husband's favorite space was the library/lounge. The staff would make any sort of drink you'd like, just for the asking, although we didn't take advantage.

The property really was great!

Excellent location, spacious and comfortable room, nice addition of the pool and great breakfast. Friendly and welcoming staff (who apologised for the lack of marking on uneven steps in the reception area that caused an injury.)

The second (sofa) bed only had a thin blanket provided while the main bed had a luxurious duvet. It meant that when one of us had to share with one of the kids we got little sleep as it was not very comfortable or warm enough for an adult.

We had a lovely greeting from the beginning of our stay and every time we returned to the hotel during our visit. The room (6) was beyond expectations with its own private terrace and a mini kitchen area which was great for a 4 day stay. The staff were the loveliest we encountered during our 6 week stay touring France (following the rugby World Cup) Breakfast was also the best we have encountered in France. Not just the food on offer, but the loveliest lady running ship! Nothing was a problem and they were accommodating with every request we had. There’s no parking but you can pull up outside to unload by using the front or side door, even with a larger vehicle. You park about a 3 minute walk away in one of 2 free, safe car parks. We were there over a weekend so not only had a great time mooching around the vast amount of Brocante shops/stalls but also had the opportunity to experience a very large market. Well worth the stay.

Nothing.

We had an absolutely lovely stay in this charming little hotel in the midst of the beautiful old streets of Isle Sur la Sorgue. Delicious breakfast and very kind and welcoming staff. We would easily stay again!

I truly cannot think of anything! The only thing I would say is that parking is at a premium and one cannot park by the hotel itself. There is a very good, free carpark only about a three minute walk away but it does get busy especially during high season!

A really lovely hotel in the perfect location. We loved our room and enjoyed having access to use the courtyard. Everything was top quality and the bed super comfortable Note, there is an elevator but it doesn't go to all rooms. Make your needs clear if stairs are a problem for you.

We prefer to sleep with the window open, but unfortunately that meant mosquitoes in the room. Some insect spray would be welcome. We were, on two occasions, given incorrect information about trains to and from L'isle. Best to check with the railways or the Tourism Information Service ⁸

THis was a wow in every way! Although we did not include breakfast in our reservations, the room was spectacular! There was a patiio and a rooftop area which allowed us to have a rooftop view of other buildings. The staff was great, but the room is what we loved the most. It was beautiful and comfortable and the toiletries were lovely. There was a small convenience kitchen which was perfect and a lift to our floor. It is a great place to stay!

It’s difficult to describe just how much I love this place. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The breakfast is other worldly - local cheeses, eggs, fresh fruit, … but, honestly, I keep coming back here because of the people. They put up with my terrible French - and graciously allow me to practice with them. Special shout out to Marie who is always friendly and is the genius behind the world’s best breakfast. A true gem.
