Pros: 1. Anne - She is lovely and so helpful & responsive. We had a great chat. As I had to miss one night for my ferry cancellation in Islay, Anne made sure my reservation was kept and always was in touch with me. She also dropped me in her car all the way to Tarbert on the doorstep of my hotel as she was on her on way to Stornoway. As we left very early in the morning, we couldn't have breakfast - so she returned 10GBP to me in cash. Such a nice human being! 2. Accommodation - This is not a snug. It's a 5 star accommodation well equipped with fully functioning kitchen, comfortable furniture, huge TV, and a super comfy queen size bed. Awesome integrated heating & spotlessly clean. 3. Location - If you wanna be absolutely solitude amidst nature, there is no better place than this, secluded white sand beach to the wild open Atlantic is just a 10 min walk. 4. Super Fast WIFI
Nothing as such. Just remember to shop for foods from the nearby store before you come here.

It's difficult to find additional points to add to previous reviews. Perhaps the full-size bathroom and bedroom deserve an extra mention. Our whole experience, from Ann's welcome, to our wave goodbye was just wonderful. Ann is such a warm, friendly person, and her attention to detail is second to none. Everything that you could possibly need for your stay is in place. It's a bed and breakfast but with the privacy of self-catering. I could add many more pics of the fridge and hamper contents, coffee (also cafetiere if you fancy), tea etc which are re-stocked daily, as well as the cutlery, crockery and utensils, but I seem to be only able to add 4. We would highly recommend, and we would definitely return. Keep doing what you're doing Ann.

This is an apartment, but what you need to know: there is no full kitchen! I was surprised at first, you have a fridge and a microwave, no oven, no rinse. But: you are catered for very well. Officially it's including breakfast, but indeed there is so much that Ann puts in the room - bread, cheese, cereals, eggs, yoghurt.. many many more things. So you make your own breakfast from all the things in the room. Dishes will be cleaned by Ann during the day, and stock filled up again. Then: an amazingly beautiful apartment! It is modern, very light and friendly, a bathroom so nice that you hardly find anywhere else. Extremely quiet location.
Maybe for 2 people it could be a little big larger, especially the living room.

Our host, Ann, could not have been more welcoming and helpful, even coming to rescue us when we got lost on the way to the beach. The kitchen was newly fitted and was great, the bathroom had a shower and a big bath which we took advantage of. The surroundings were very peaceful and it was an ideal place to explore North Uist. I expect it would be a good opportunity to see the Northern Lights when the conditions are right.
Nothing, I would recommend Ann and The Snug to all.

There was simply nothing to fault. Ann was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The accommodation was absolutely spotless, sparkling clean. Decor was lovely, lots of thoughtful touches - I liked the display of local crafts. And the food! Ann really went above and beyond with supplying us with LOTS of food, way more than you would expect from a B&B. There is only the one, bathroom, sink in the property but this was fine for out 2 night stay. The location was so peaceful. Plenty of wildlife to see just from the house and also only a 5 minute drive to the bird reserve and a 10 minute drive to Committee Road for eagle spotting. (No show for us). But we did see lots of short eared owls, Hen Harriers, lots of water birds, red deer and Highland Cows. Would love to come back for longer next time.

This was the best place we stayed in the Hebrides. Ann is amazing, and so is this self-contained extension to her home. Everything is tastefully decorated, bed large and comfy with huge view from the window. Great bathroom. Cosy lounge/diner with TV, microwave, fridge full of goodies ( including eggs and cheese!), kettle, hamper full of great snacks, croissants and sourdough bread. Unbelievably generous! She even insisted on taking our bikes to the barn herself so we could rest. She's brill!

The location was wonderful overlooking the loch with uninterrupted view. It was so.peaceful with the sounds of oyster catchers and other birds. Ann, was incredible, so helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast provided was tailored for my dietary needs. Much effort went into making my stay as comfortable and happy. The whole snug was cosy, warm and clean, adorned with some wonderful art pieces. Delightfully furnished throughout. I didn't want to.leave.
There was nothing I did not like.

Ann, the host, is extremely friendly and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble. The snug is lovely and very snug, spotlessly clean, with the biggest choice of 'continenal' breakfast I've ever seen. Eggs, bread, rolls, cereals, tomatoes, cheeses, grapes, fruit bowl, all different types of yoghurt, sugar free, high protein, organic, juices ... just to name some of it. There is a toaster and microwave as well. The next day our ferry was on hold and eventually cancelled. Ann had already said we were welcome back if it was cancelled, an offer we gratefully accepted.
Nothing.

Fabulous place to stay! very nicely decorated with local arts. Very useful Books about North Uist and South Uist. Chairs and table to stay outside. Parking space. There is also a big and cosy living room with a fridge, a microwave, a couch and table. Very nice welcome package and there is plenty of food and fresh fruit in the fridge. The bathroom is equipped with a bath and a separate shower . Towels changed every day. Very quiet place to enjoy the landscape. A big thank you to Ann for her kindness.

The quality, variety and quantity of the breakfast exceeded expectations. Absolutely delicious range of foods and to suit all dietary needs. Indeed to B&B owner went above and beyond in ensuring our needs were met, including cooking some chicken for our pooches and dropping off some ice for my evening g&t. Lovely. Moreover, the selection on offer was fabulous and more than adequate for us, even providing delicious sandwiches and snacks when out exploring for the day. Ann is a fabulous, warm, friendly and generous host! The location provides a great base for getting around the Uist Islands. The Snug is very comfortable and we loved everything about it , including the sympathetic decorations, which represents wonderfully a ‘Fisherman’s Snug’. There is fabulous bathroom, with bath and shower, and plenty of clean towels, and the bed was comfy. We really liked Ann’s reassurance that we relax and treat our time there as a home from home! This is lovely to hear, especially when travelling with 2 small ish dogs. I could go on but hopefully this review will help others decide whether the Snug is right for them. But don’t hesitate in booking! We will return!
Initially, I would have said a cooker hob or small convection oven. But this didn’t prove necessary as Ann was more than willing to accommodate our needs, which only extended to cooking a bit of chicken for the dogs!! So there wasn’t anything that we didn’t like…..
