The unit (Chalet 4), was really great as it was private and had a view of the lake. The outside braai (rock seats) was amazing. Aircons worked and very clean. Staff was amazing. The offer certain prepared meals and we ordered potato salad with our braai for the evening.

I know they can’t stay open if there are not enough guests but would have loved if the bar area could have stayed open until 19:00 or later and not close at 17:00. There was not a braai casserole for our meat and had to use a plate.

Beautiful chalet. Lovely restaurant. The food was delicious and the gentleman and young lady at the bar, very helpful and friendly. Do yourself a favour and try the bunless burger. Some Karoo lamb on the menu would have been awesome as well. Slept like a dream after a long journey from Johannesburg. Kids enjoyed seeing the sheep and the play area.

Would recommend, if possible, to switch of the very bright outside lighting at night. We were looking forward to see lots of stars in the Karoo night sky, when sitting by the fire. :) Thank you for the lovely touch of providing firewood. Would suggest providing firelighters or something to start the fire with.

Have stayed here 4 times before, so we knew of the high standards & creature comforts. Super friendly staff & very helpful. This time, hubby had booked a luxury room near to the bar/restaurant; before we had a cottage, so had a separate bedroom. Super & well equipped. Lighting a bit weak. Beautiful position right by the lake & luscious green lawn...so welcome & appreciated after 4 weeks in the sandy & very ungreen arid parks. Brilliant that WiFi is now INCLUDED. I had always put this as being needed, so well done & thank you! Copious breakfast is available as an extra. We were lucky enough to be there on Wed evening, which is one of the famous pizza evenings. The place was buzzing with a wonderful atmosphere. Drinks are fairly priced. We are sure to be back... an excellent stop after Upington for Augrabies Falls & then onto Springbok.

A small table & chairs for 2 would be really welcomed; there is a great deal of free space in the huge room. The chairs are a little low for the work counter/ American bar.

Lake Grappa is a fantastic choice for a pet-friendly getaway in the Augrabies region. Did not know where reception was. No pre-arrival confirmation, so we did not know where to go when we arrived and the reception was quite unpersonal. Would like to receive a message on the day of arrival to have the peace of mind that they are accepting you.

The shower needs a little attention. The wifi was frustrating as it continuously throws you off.

The rooms were in a good, clean, hygienic condition. It smely fresh and lovely. Good enviroment after a long journey. The lady assisting was very helpful and kind, made our stay even better. Thanks

The property was exceptional. The staff was stunning. Especially the old topie, just forgot his name. We will most definitely come back
