Beautiful old hotel particuliar in the center of the tourist core yet incredibly quiet (my room was on the courtyard) and secure. Room was modern and enormous by european standards with a very large and comfortable bed and a huge TV with Canal +. Very large bathroom with separate tub and shower. Coffee, shampoo, bar soap and body wash were provided but body lotion and Robe/slippers were available on demand. It would have been a nicer touch had they been present in the room at check-in. The young woman at the desk was efficient and helpful. The room could easily accommodate a couple for an extended stay.

The A/C at maximum was sufficient during the day but I would have liked a cooler room for sleeping.

The location couldn’t have been better, near old-town restaurants, shops, and central market! And the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, especially Lisa.

Given that this is an historic property, I expected the rooms to have some old-world charm, but they were rather featureless and sterile looking. The other thing that annoyed us was the hidden valet parking fee of 42 euros per day. Neither Booking.com nor the hotel website states this fee up front…and part of the reason we booked this hotel was the promise of free parking. So that was a huge downer.

Lovely lady on reception who appeared at breakfast time too and was always ready for a chat or questions Great position in the old town buzzing with atmosphere, lots of restaurants and the square where you could get the little road train tour or bus tour. Also short walk from the the Ferry terminal and the harbour which was a lively area. More restaurants and bars for choice. The best ice cream shop just opposite the hotel with so many unusual flavours and it’s lovely proprietor. Breakfast pretty good for France but quite busy Quiet despite position of hotel

Away from reception it was very dark, corridors and particularly lift, all black with low level lighting. Always watching where to step getting out of lift till eyes adjust. Never got used to it in 3 days! Room quite stark, dark also, windows high because of roof pitch. Bathroom good size but position of toilet right by the door was bad design, feet stuck out in front of doorway when using. Found bits on the floor not swept from last occupants. No kettle in standard rooms. Don’t bother with the citadel, it was the worst one we visited in Corsica, scruffy and rundown when so much more could be made of it as a tourist attraction. Shame potential not seen as not a lot to do in Ajaccio. Town beach an asset and easy to walk to

The staff was wonderful and made some great recommendations --- food eats, hikes, beaches, etc. Location is good. You can walk anywhere. Easy to valet your car as well. Very central location.

While the central location is good for old town, it can be a pain to get out of out town to explore other parts of the island in a rental car. Be prepared for traffic. Lots of cruise ships. So be prepared for 'flock' of cruisers when they are in port.

It was such a nice hotel in the centre of Ajaccio. A short walk from shops, bars, restaurants, the harbour, and the beach. Super reception from Lisa, who was so friendly and helpful in explaining everything and dealing with the car. I know it was extra but a definite boon on a holiday weekend. We loved our room with its small balcony and the hot tub. What a luxury...so fortunate during such a super hot week.

Firstly the Pozzo di Borgo has an excellent staff. The hotel has an excellent location in the old town across the street from the napoleon Home Museum, restaurants and retail. Our room was a great size and well furnished. Same for the bathroom. Our terrace was a great "extra". Breakfast was also great.

Easier parking for the hotel. The nearest lot was not very far away, but more localized parking would be nice...also a pool.

An excellent location for visiting the Napoleonic House – Ajaccio's biggest tourist attraction. The hotel is surrounded by dozens of different restaurants and cafes. The magnificent Cathedral is very close by. I was traveling in an electric car from Rent a Car and was able to charge the battery while the car was parked in the hotel garage. Highly recommended!

It was very quiet and central to everything. It was comfortable and pleasant. The valet parking (€42 per day) was convenient at the hotel if you do not need the car during your stay.

If you arrive by car, there is a barrier at the entrance of the road. You must call the hotel to lift the barrier to drop your bags etc. This is not clear on booking details.

1. It’s close to the Diamant parking garage so you can easily walk two blocks and drive your car round Ajaccio. 2. There’s great restaurants on the same street as the hotel and great seafood restaurants behind the hotel. 3. Behind the hotel is where you can take ferry rides in the water. 4. The bed was comfortable and the Air Conditioning was great. Especially during the hot summer air you feel very refreshed indoors. 5. The staff are great. Any questions about attractions they can happily lead you to the right path. 6. The beach is a 5 minute walk where it’s great to take a swim.

We had a standard classic room with very good bed. The location is unmatched in Ajaccio in the old town, no noise and only 2 minutes walk for a refreshing morning swim before breakfast in a nearby cafe. Lisa, who welcomed us to the hotel is one of the nicest and friendly person you will ever meet. The service and friendlyness at the hotel was just first class.
