Our lovely room was as described with a good view to the port, newly renovated bathroom, full length mirror and so very clean. Breakfast buffet included scrambled and boiled eggs. Spent enjoyable hours looking out at the activities of the port. Daily markets and larger markets on Saturdays. Staff members Anouk and Allane most helpful. Appreciated that Hotel replied promptly to my train schedule questions before arrival. Axel at tourist office helpful with location of the Villa della Rocca where Matisse stayed when in Ajaccio. Address is corner Rue Gabriel Peri and Boulevard Sylvestre Marcaggi. Church of Sacred Heart is opposite. Sign says Villa Allegrini Les Glycines. No plaque to indicate history of Matisse.

On first morning even though leaving do not disturb sign out the cleaning staff still came into the room. Which was very upsetting that our privacy was invaded. Regardless of this Hotel Du Golfe is well run by caring staff, eager to help you have an enjoyable stay. Consider getting a room facing the port at a high level. Complements to Municipal Council for their attention to cleaning.

The lovely pink hotel is well located near the port and centre ville, and directly across the road from the wonderful Marcatu d’Aiaccu selling fresh gourmet Corsican produce. My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff were very helpful with storing luggage, easy check in, providing beach towels etc. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

My room had nowhere to sit, just the bed. The shower cubicle was tiny and the bathroom rather small. My room was at the back of the hotel (no seaview) and overlooked the laneway, full of restaurants. That was mostly okay, but it was exceptionally noisy on Friday night with loud live music till quite late. Perhaps not a problem if your room is at the front of the hotel, facing the sea.

The view over the port from our bedroom was stunning and looking out on the market was fun too. The close proximity to the ferry port was great for us. The staff were friendly and helpful. Being able to sit outside on the terrace in front of the hotel was very pleasant. Very close proximity to Ajaccio’s main attraction was a huge bonus and also the town’s beach was only a short walk away.

The breakfast was ok but a bit disappointing. Also it would be better if the times were between 7 am and 10 am rather than 9.30. We arrived at 9am and got the feeling everything was winding down. Through the first night our rooms smelled strongly of disinfectant.

The staff was wonderful. ALWAYS THERE, always helpful with smiling faces. The location was excellent. Our room faced the open air market so there was much action seen from the balcony. Very comfortable room with great working A/C so sleeping was comfortable. Beautiful outside beauty.

Not the fault of the hotel but it could be loud due to concert across the way so bring your earplugs if a light sleeper. The hallway was tight especially when the cleaning crew filled the hallways. Some aging & everyone hates to age & show it. But overall-it was a positive & wonderful experience to stay in such a historical place.

Location was excellent. The staff was very friendly with advice on where to eat and what to visit. The room was clean and organized with towels, toiletries etc.

Please note that the single room was very small, with window that didn’t open to let any light in and there was only the view of a side alley although the booking advertised sea view. There was an additional 15 euro charge for early check in which only became clear after booking. Everything was great except these points.

I loved the location and staff. Easy to do all your tourist walking, catch a boat trip, and the ferry. The rooms are small, but with a VERY comfortable bed and a very comfortable bathroom/shower. The French doors to the French balcony is absolutely cute and such a beautiful welcome , especially with the sea view. I slept with the doors opens for the fresh sea air to get in and it was just perfect. ! Thé breakfast was very good and fresh !

Thé hôtel is directly in front of the market and the set up for the market begins at 4-5am which means it is quite noisy. If you’re an early riser that’s okay, but there was significant car/truck/talking noise that early (but I also slept with the doors open)

Clean hotel, centrally located, AC available, good breakfast

The coffee is not good. It doesn't make much sense that you charge the same for same size rooms that have/haven't view. My room was just facing another building 1.5m away. It was very noisy on Saturday night and on Tuesday morning around 5:30 am!

Centrally located but not terribly loud or too busy. Easy access to a lot of different attractions and food.

I should have asked for a higher floor for a better view, that’s all. Everything else was good!

Amazing location, great view from the balcony onto the port and the fireworks on Bastille day (14th of July)

The rooms are pretty small but all you need

Great location for the bus and train terminals. Less than a 5 minute walk to the bar and restaurant scene. Cafe/bar next door opens at 0600 so you can get a good breakfast before the early train.

En-suite was very small.
