Beautiful location, the house and the surroundings are absolutely lovely. The facilities are superbly maintained, the room was very spacious and clean, and the staff was super welcoming. Excellent breakfast with local food.

The only thing we did not love was the absence of any dinner option in the hotel. The staff does a great job at providing plenty of restaurant options in the surroundings, but given the lack of supermarkets in the area (especially on weekends) it would have been perfect to have the option to grab a sandwich or a burger at the hotel, and fully enjoy the comfort of the facilities, without having to leave to grab dinner.

The building (Pazo) is unique. Very well preserved keeping the atmosphere but yet very confortable. Common areas were as they would have been 100 years ago. I loved the visit were Pazo staff explained us the history of the building and former owners. The breakfast was very good A buffet with lots of local products. I loved the bica and the local meat products. Prior to arrival Pazo da Pena sent us an email detailing the local atractions and places to have lunch and dinner. Pazo Staff was very helpfull. Everything was design to make the experience even more enjoyable.

It is very hard to find something negative to say. It may be that you need to plan where to have your lunch and dinner because there is only little villages around. Now I know what is the morriña, counting the days for my next hollidays to have a chance to come back

The breakfast is outstanding, offering excellent quality for the price. To top it all off, a guided tour of the hotel and its fascinating history adds an unforgettable touch to the stay.

The rooms would benefit from the addition of a courtesy tea maker.

Absolutely gorgeous Manor home in an incredible location. The staff were great, and very accommodating. Our room was super comfortable, the bed and bedding were first rate. The whole Manor home/hotel is available to guests. There are so many gorgeous communal spaces. We went for a walk through the village and into the countryside and it was beautiful. We had a lovely evening meal of toasted baguettes with delicious toppings, and wine. We would definitely choose this hotel again in the future.

I didn’t realise when booking, that this accommodation, is a 5* Albergue for Santiago Pilgrims, and that is what it is! with all that facilities that you expect for a stop over Restaurant is not available, so you must get on the car and travel a couple of km But again, I didn’t read the small lines Shower floor is slippery, and the door opens the wrong way

Beautiful property with amazing staff.

Very remote area and no place to eat at the property. Having a restaurant would make the guest experience much better. Wifi was very, very slow. Rooms are very hot. I even asked for them to turn off the heat, but still uncomfortably warm and difficult to sleep.

Everything! A unique experience in an updated Manor House. The hostess was exceptional and gave us an individual tour explaining the history, renovations and additions they have made. The rooms were individual and modern. A real find at a bargain price. Well worth the journey. The surrounding countryside was picturesque. The wine they produce on site is also very nice.

Absolutely nothing.

Gem of a hotel. Incredible attention to detail. Claudia was very welcoming on our late arrival and very sweet and helpful. Very quiet location which is what we wanted. Felt very spoiled. Price was ridiculously cheap for what you got. Loved the common areas as it felt like you were in someone's home. Fab shower and comfortable bed. Highly recommend if you are looking for something special and unique in Galicia. Lovely breakfast with local delicacies. Nearest restaurant 1km away. Again we were well looked after and all food was locally sourced. Delicious! Ended up staying a 2nd night.

Staying at this old medieval castle that is renovated into a hotel was like going back in time. The people there were nice, and the place had cool things to do. It's like they mixed the old castle vibes with modern fun. Super recommend it if you want a chill time with a touch of history. The location is also great. We had a great view of the surrounding landscapes and a beautiful meadow to walk.

Old building with lots of stone and wood. If you want to spend an evening pretending to live in an ancient manor house then this is the place. Nice garden and surroundings ideal for an evening stroll.

Not a good place for vegetarians. Bring your own food. It was a bank holiday and we ended up with a two hour drive in the evening for bread and cheese. Rooms are heavily perfumed - cows are farmed in the vicinity. Breakfast is a minimal buffet with little for vegetarians. No air conditioning. Limited ventilation in the room.
