Hotel is amazing! Beautifully located with plenty of great restaurants around. Excellent service and very helpful staff. Rooms are specious and very clean. The building itself is beautiful. There is possibly to leave a car on the guarded parking. We could not complain on anything. Hotel has a rooftop with amazing view which was a additional bonus. We enjoyed our stay very much and if we will come back to the region for sure we will stay again in the hotel.

The old town of Giovinazzo is surely a gem in terms of its beauty, history and fact that it is not on the mass tourism schedule. We visited late in the season so it might be different in height of cummer but at the end of September, walking around day or evening was simply magical. The hotel is I understand for sale and will close soon which is sad. I hope it reopens. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The whole place was cleaned every day, floors washed everything. The rooftop bar area (closed for our trip) provides a superb viewpoint and on sunny mornings, is amazing!! We fell in love with Giovinazzo and Hotel S. Martins and will hold it long in our memories because of the place and the people.

The breakfast is quite good but monotonous and lacking a bit of imagination (if you are staying, like we for a few days) but the coffee is great. The courtyard is a magical area but as the hotel is slowly winding down and it was past the season, it was not really used. We had the apartment which was fine in terms of size but looks inwards. Right outside the window is an old church bell that still rings each evening at around 21.50 and if your window is open and you are settling down, its quite a shock but is actually one of the charms!!

We were in #206 and we were quite pleased with the room. It was spacious and comfortable. The morning breakfast has a nice array of offerings and the cappuchini were delicious.

We encourage you to do maintenance on the walls and ceiling where the paint is spalling from the inevitable moisture in the stone. It's constant maintenance, we know (we live in a stone house in Polignano a Mare), but it matters for health and appearances. Additionally, leave printed instructions (multiple languages) for the AC so that the light does not blink next to the matrimonial bed all night. That started about 3am in our room (earlier in our friends' room). It was so annoying we had to get up to figure out how to make it stop (we got it to be less bright, but it continued pulsing on and off all night).

The hotel has a unique atmosphere and is located in the best place in the city - in the middle of the old charming streets and right by the sea. The gentleman at the reception is very helpful and kind. Very nice and smiling staff at breakfast (with great pastries and coffee). None of our requirements were a problem for the hotel staff.

We would have appreciated a fridge in the room given the extreme heat outside. The only thing that slightly spoiled our impression of an otherwise perfect accommodation was the mold in the shower.

We had a wonderful stay at S. Martin Hotel in Giovinazzo! Everything was perfect – the room was spotless, and cleaning was done daily, which we really appreciated. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. A special thank you to Francesco for all his recommendations for great local restaurants and for helping us with reservations – it made our experience even more enjoyable. The hotel itself has a unique charm and atmosphere that makes it truly special. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of. We sincerely hope to return soon!

We loved all of the roof top and outdoor spaces with views on offer. Our breakfast was included in our hotel stay. It was very copious. Our room was spacious and light. The staff was very nice. We were encouraged to park our car with a parking service that was across town. I suspect due to crime. But there was a shuttle that took us with our bags and the driver was very nice. so it all worked out very well. We truly enjoyed our stay.

We had a few mosquitos in our Room. Not a lot. We only opened the windows for a few minutes during the day. But the cleaning staff lent us a device that you plug in an electric outlet to chase them away. It was not a big problem in the end. The large breakfast selection tended to be more oriented towards Italian tastes. Firstly, there was no toaster. Also, would have liked to see more fresh fruit and fruit salad on offer.

S. Martin Hotel is a beautiful old building with all modern conveniences integrated. Hotel staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is ideally situated on the edge of the centro storico of Giovinazzo and the beautiful lungomare. There are numerous excellent restaurants nearby. Everywhere was fairly quiet during the first two weeks of December and we welcomed that, but I imagine S. Martin Hotel would be buzzing with activity in the summer season, when rooftop bar & other amenities are open

The hotel restaurant was only open for dinner at the weekend.

Our hotels location was very convenient, it has such breathtaking view on the sea side. Since Giovinazzo is small, it’s close to Restaurants, Terraces, shops, Cathedral and its so nice for a seaside walk. The hotel itself has a long history and story, everything is beautifully decorated with art and plants. The rooftop is stunning and there are some other areas outside which are lovely with the best views. The food, the hospitality was so warm and full of love and care, which made us fell in love with this place.

Great hotel in Giovinazzo old town historical center. Hotel is located in central area and near to all main attractions by foot. Hotel is not really accessible by car (they have a collaboration with a parking garage 1 km away, where you can park your car and they provide drop-off/pick-up to the hotel for a reasonable price). The property is historical, medieval, out of stone, but renovated nicely. Modern rooms and facilities, has elevators. Reception staff was kind and polite. Room was clean, spacious and nicely designed. Plenty of storage space. Amenities (TV, chairs, AC and heater, mirror, closet, charging sockets and reading lights on both sides of the bed, good lighting, free Wi-Fi, towels, shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer, toiletries, etc.). The bed / mattress was comfortable (especially for people with back problems). Bathroom was clean and had a shower, but a bit old style. Breakfast was good, delicious. Plenty of great restaurants, bars and cafes in the vicinity.

Does not have 24x7 reception, which could have been better for this quality of hotel. No fridge or mini-bar in the room (there was a mini-bar in the lobby but chargeable). The Wi-Fi speed is terribly slow and we had no coverage in our room (and it took us multiple calls with the hotel manager in the night to get this fixed, which was truly annoying). The breakfast could have had more healthier options (e.g., fresh fruit).

There is something special about staying in such a wonderful historic building that has been restored and renovated in such a sensitive and professional manner. This heritage building is steeped in history, yet lends itself beautifully to it's present purpose as a structure dedicated to hospitality. The refurbishment makes the hotel really comfortable and includes a lift to ease access to the different floors. The decor is wonderfully artistic and jazzed up beautifully with modern works of art that sit comfortably along a few displays of some of the material culture discovered in situ. Staff are relaxed and very accommodating. I needed a late check-out which was sorted easily and at the last minute. A lovely breakfast is provided with fresh local products and a nice selection from a standard buffet station. I was there in low season, yet, the selection was lovely. And the lady serving breakfast was quietly efficient. I hope to return soon. On a practical note, Giovinazzo is close to Bari airport so a perfect location to stay in the event of late arrivals, or early departures.

I havent tried the restaurant, but I hope to remedy this on my next visit.
