New modern room at the back of the hotel. Helpful staff, trying to speak English for us and sorting out a solution for our air conditioning which is not normally set to cooling at this time of year. Good privacy or block-out screens that could be lowered at night time. Very quiet; you can hear the neighbours come and go, but otherwise no noise at all. Good indoor bike storage at the back of the hotel with easy access. Charging points for e-bikes.

Ground floor room with sliding doors opening directly onto the back car park - good for loading our bikes, but no outlook whatsoever. The shower screen didn't seal the cubicle well and water got all over the bathroom floor. Water temperature was OK but not as hot as we would have liked. No fridge or in-room safe.

I arrived by bike and really appreciated that the hotel had a secure place to park them. My room looked a little simpler than in the photos, but it was still comfortable. The bathroom was new and clean. Breakfast was amazing, served in what looks like a big old ballroom, which made the experience feel special. Overall, a pleasant stay.

The staff was a bit absent at times (check-in and check-out), but it seemed like they were understaffed, so it was understandable.

The hotel and also our room were decorated with much love and attention, in a shabby chic style. The room was light and big. We adored the breakfast room. Beautifully decorated and very spacious and the breakfast buffet was varied and wonderful. All in all, a good stay for one night.

Unfortunately, because it's a rather old hotel, there was quite a lot of noise coming from other rooms. Particularly when our neighbors took a shower at 11pm, I woke up from the noise of the water running very loudly, as if they were taking a shower in our bathroom! There was no parking available except for on the street, which we had to pay.

Breakfast was super we enjoyed eating a traditional French fayre.. Lovely fresh bread and pastries, great selection of cheese, meats , yoghurt and fruit… in beautiful surroundings the chandeliers were stunning..

Checking out.. admittedly it was early hours of the morning, and there was a misunderstanding with our final bill… we had forgotten about the hotel tax , and nobody had mentioned it too us despite us letting them know night before we were leaving, I just think a gentle reminder maybe a little note left in our room would of been great .. All sorted and we’d happily return again !

Amazing breakfast and quiet, comfortable rooms with air conditioning. My spouse and children loved the place and its amenities. The location is superb, right in the heart of the city. We would definitely stay there again when we visit Montbeliard next time.

Having the two rooms connected would have been better, but we simply booked too late to get that option. Having a fitness room or Spa would have been nice. Getting an extra room key was a bit of a hassle, but worked out in the end.

I had ordered some flowers for the room; the flowers were beautiful. The staff where very helpful in organizing the flowers. the bed was nice, big and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice. location was great for our stay.

The shower should have a door on it, so the floor doesn't get soaking wet.

Beautiful old building, fabulous timber staircase. Breakfast was served in a room which looked like a ballroom with chandeliers! Really good choice for breakfast. Lovely helpful staff. Good location close to old town centre.

Car park a little tight to get into due to bollards in road and we have a large estate car.

The room was clean and spacious. The air conditioning was very much appreciated. The location was quiet and close to restaurants / supermarkets. Our bikes were stored safely in a covered room.

The bed was a double but too small for us.

Beautiful, historic, old hotel in a quiet part of town. Spacious bedroom with high ceilings and large windows. Decor in keeping with the age of the hotel. Good en-suite bathroom. Good, easily controlled heating in the room. Excellent continental breakfast. Overall a very comfortable stay.
