We just stayed 1 night to break up a long drive from the coast to Nairobi, but wished we had more time in the area. The cabins are set in picturesque grounds, with lovely plants and mountain views all around. There's lots of birds to watch right from the cabins. The staff are exceptional and attentive, we had dinner at the lodge, which was great and freshly prepared. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and very reasonable to stay. Excursions are offered by the lodge and we wish we'd had more time to do one- well have to return another time.

We had a great time at the Ecolodge. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Our train was canceled and the host David aranged for Chris and Paul tot drive us all the way to Watamu. This was a though day for them, very sweet. David was always there to help and assist, and was a super considerate and hospitable host. The food was super fresh straight from their Farm. The staff puts a lot of effort in serving high quality, locally produced food, and Nick and Jackie, who work in the restaurant, make you feel at home straight away. We would definitely recommend this place.

Lovely staff, thanks Felicita for the clean bedrooms. Nice family place especially for teenagers, the manager sorted out the Tsavo Safari tours for us, plus picnics for a reasonable price. We all had great time.

It would be much better if the meals were included in the room price. 2000 shillings pp is way too much for the dinner , which was nice but double the comparable price in a Mombasa beachside resort. There is no way to eat out, no taxis or restaurants within 30 minutes of the lodge. Just add it to the overall price and call it full board. Others were unhappy with this too.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Eco Lodge, particularly all the freshly cooked food from the locally grown fruit & veg. The chef also prepared a special dinner for us with ugali. We also booked day trips to Tsavo East and West with them - both long days but with plenty of animals, including birds, to see. We had a very friendly driver (Robert) and the lunch pack was genorouse (one pack would have been enough for the two of us). The rooms are basic but very clean and in a lovely green surrounding.

The padlock at the room is a bit difficult to handle.

Well located, rather close to entrances of both Tsavo West (30 min) and East (20 min), near the highway but very well isolated in the bush, and easily accessible from it (less than 10 min). Nice ongoing projects of tree planting and food production on the estate.

Dinner and breakfast dishes were a bit too heavy, with too much meat (2 per meal is too much) and starchy foods (potatoes). The estate has an excellent bar!

If you are looking for the best lodge, you have found it! We had an amazing stay here, at the Tausa Tsavo Eco Lodge. The staff makes everything to be sure you have a great time!  The location is great (they can even pick you up /drop you off at the Voi train station). They organized a safari for us! We saw so many animals! It was such a memorable day! The lodge is clean and you have everything you need.  Oh, and the food was always fresh and delicious during our stay! Highly recommended!  Asante sana!

Loved our stay at this family run Ecolodge. The rooms were spacious and clean, the food was delicious and the area was green and quiet. Perfect to unwind after a long day in the nature. We did a couple of fantastic safaris to the surrounding national parks with the host David and his friends. They had great recommendations for the tours and were very professional in all respects. On our day off we did birdwatching and a nature walk in the surrounding area and saw lots of stuff apart from the big five.

We went there to organize with the manager/owner of the lodge, David, our safaries into Tsavo East, Tsavo West und Amboseli for January. Already the communication by mail before was perfect and during our visit in the lodge and discussion with him, we got now a good plan and offer for the 4 days in January for 3 people At the same time we found out, that we felt on this one day visit very comfortably with the Reception, the kitchen, the friendly staff and service, a good double bed, protected by a good and big mosicito net. The dining room made us feel relaxed and the bar looks quit well equipped, african music made this dinner just perfect We look now forward to go back there in mid of January and go then with David and his 4 wheel Drive on Safari.

All the very professional friendly staff!! The East Tsavo game drive, the birding walk around the Lodge, the quality and the massive portion meals (you won't go hungry here!). Faith - always with a big smile, a friendly hello and willingness to serve meals perfectly every time. The first class SGR train service to Voi is phenomenal! Comfortable, air conditioned, punctual, clean and with view of the park and general. Kenya landscapes en route.

The lock system on the cabins could be made easier to open. Guests should realized that the location requires about a 20$ ride one way to the train station.

What David has built is more than a lodge. A total environmental experience that includes trips out into the Tsavo reserves and great animal wildlife spotting's. Time seems to stand still in the cool of the Tsavo sunrise and the serenity is inspiring. You really do become family while staying. We've made life long friends during the times we've been there. From the fresh fruit for breakfast every morning to the surrounding environ we highly recommend for a destination vacation. We have been there 3 time now and can't wait to get back!
