Internet worked super well and there was a fridge available for the guests in the apartment. The host was flexible regarding our check-in time (we traveled by train from Siena and on our traveling day our other train was canceled and the other was quite a lot late. The host replied to messages promptly by WhatsApp. The apartment and the shared bathroom were clean (though shower mat was missing, we dried the floor with a towel) and the bed was comfortable enough.

On Booking.com website on the description of this place is that the washing machine is available for the guests. However our host told us for two night stay one wash only is possible (or "more than enough"), and even that just because he makes exception in our case. We were rather surprised when hearing that, as people usually come to Albissola Marina to stay at the beach and even the big beach towels need to be washed. We assumed free use of the washing machine during our stay would be included in the price as mentioned on our booking. We did not want to buy big pack of washing powder just for one wash so we decided to wash our clothes elsewhere. In the room there was not air conditioning but an oscillating floor fan that unfortunately is not enough in the summer season when the room temperature is very hot. Because of the room temperature we could not sleep very well. 2/3 of the space in the wardrobe in our room was full of host´s (?) clothes, winter blankets and other things, so unfortunately we couldn´t put our clothes or suitcases in it. It would be nice for the guests if there were available some necessary kitchen utensils as glasses, spoons and plates if the guests would like to have breakfast in the room for example.

The place was easy to find and it was clean.

what I find very disturbing was that the last day I was there, in the morning waking up to go to the bathroom and the door to the owner’s bedroom was wide open and he was just sleeping almost naked just wearing his underwear. And as a woman I find that very uncomfortable.
