A Memorable Stay at Bluebay Resort, Zanzibar Our stay at Bluebay Resort was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and professional staff. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with lush tropical gardens, stunning ocean views, and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, blending modern comfort with authentic Zanzibari charm. We especially appreciated the little details like the fresh flowers, daily housekeeping, and the comfortable beds. The food was a highlight, delicious, fresh, and diverse, with both local and international options. The beachfront restaurant offered breathtaking views and made every meal feel special. The location is ideal, right on a pristine stretch of beach with crystal-clear waters. We enjoyed daily walks, snorkeling, and simply relaxing by the pool. The resort also offers excellent spa services and well-organized excursions, allowing us to explore the island without any hassle. Overall, Bluebay Resort exceeded our expectations. It’s a perfect getaway for anyone looking for tranquility, luxury, and authentic island hospitality. We will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar.

The property is sprawling with a gorgeous beach and plenty of lush gardens. We booked a junior suite which was really spacious with the most enormous comfortable bed. We had a few issues but they were quickly resolved and we had amazing meals at the a la carte restaurants. I have to mention ‘Wok’ which was faultless and I would go back just to dine there. We also had a romantic beach dinner which was lovely. The water-sports centre is well equipped and we learnt to paddle board, we played lots of pool and we also played tennis every day. The court does need resurfacing but it is fine for a knock about. We would definitely go back there.

The experience from airport pick up was very smooth and seamless, the driver we were allocated to was very patient with us . Our room was prepared in advance and we enjoyed the serenity, the meals were freshly prepared and with good variety, the staff were so kind especially when we once forgot to lock our valuables they went the extra mile to guard them till we returned to the room.

The WiFi wasn't well set-up at first, the codes were not working which meant that we needed to keep requesting the front office to give us short codes, maybe you could explore another WiFi solution?

Direct access to the beach, with security. Poolside and beach side seating available. Restaurant catered for all dietary requirements and preferences. What stood out the most was the staff; they were all friendly and so helpful.

We do not have any complaints / areas for improvement. It was a really great stay.

We were very happy with the staff, who was always very kind and able to manage every situation. We also had a problem with our visa due to the airport personnel inefficiencies and the hotel management were able to support us and solve the situation. The hotel is on a beautiful beach, food was great (both breakfast and dinner), good gym with technogym machinery. we absolutely recommend Bluebay.

The internet connection was a bit slow and crashing a lot. We would like to point out that dinner means only food, it does not include any drinks, not even water. I think it should be better to specify it during the reservation process.

The resort is beautiful, set on the beach in beautifully manicured gardens, and has a lovely large pool and smaller one nearer to our room. The beach front location was a great spot to lay on the sunbeds and watch the beach life carry on. Every meal I had with them was 'my favourite yet', and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Free use of the watersport equipment was also a good touch.

They could have managed our expectations on check in better - we advised as to arrival time (approx 9am) and they said on our arrival that check in was 2pm, but they would prioritise our room cleaning. We actually didnt get into our room until 1.50pm - which didnt feel like much of a priorty. We had half board, and didnt really like the way you felt a bit forced to pay to upgrade to all inclusive.

The hotel is very clean management is amazing also ahlam and all of them very helpful and they do there best to serve u well. Highly recommend the area is classier than paje beach very chill and clean. The room was clean and specious. The spa is very good highly recommend. They recommended a driver and a yoga instructor and a hair stylist to do my hair all of them where so good with amazing prices

No water in toilet

Large airy and very clean rooms with big comfortable beds and good air con. The food was superb, and the staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful at every stage, the evening entertainment of singers and dancers was good. The massage in the spa was very good.

The Wifi was poor, the activities calendar of what was on when, on such as aqua aerobics and yoga etc, could have been made more prominent, perhaps on display in the reception area, as we didn't realise there was a noticeboard detailing events for a few days as it's tucked away.

From what I've seen this is one of the best hotels on the island. The beach is with white sand, and the guards are keeping away the "merchants". The food was very good, and the whole hotel complex is absolutely not crowded.

It is expensive for sure. But whole Tanzania is expensive. If you are the white traveler, you have to pay the price... :(
