My girlfriends and I had an absolutely lovely stay at Baridi Villa. The staff was super kind, friendly and professional . They were extremely helpful in all matters and questions we had about the area and amenities and the service was highly accommodating. For e.g. they connected us to a hair stylist, money exchange service, food delivery, taxi pick up etc. , all delivered straight to the accommodation. We felt super safe, embraced and respected as women of colour, which is not always the case while travelling, so this was an important aspect to us. We really enjoyed being in a safe space of a mostly women run accommodation. We were positively surprised at the easy access to the beach. Through the back door of the accommodation, there is an alley that brings you directly to the beach within 2 walking minutes. The area was truly the best of both worlds: The beach side abit touristy, but not too much, with a range of restaurant options. As well as slow paced living in the local village on the other side, where you can find fresh fruit, lovely homey food at local prices and some local clothing shops, hair salon etc. We enjoyed the pool and whirlpool area and relaxing days on the outdoor bed swings. We would definitely book here again and warmly recommend this stay. Be sure to be respectful of the locals and definitely leave a big tip for the staff, as it seems that many people stay far away from their families to work on the island.

A short two-minute walk to the beach, laundry facilities on the property, staff are very friendly and helped me find the nearest ATM and supermarket. My room was spacious and comfy, and there are areas to hang out by the pool or outside of your room.

For longer stays, the breakfast gets a little repetitive as it's mainly the same every day but there are cheap options to eat nearby.

Friendly and nice staff, proximity to an amazing beach and very good restaurants (we ate often at Sipano or ordered from Flames of Zanzibar), very nice pool, the kids also had fun in the jacuzzi, tiny and friendly wildilife visiting the garden which made for great pictures and thrilling for the kids who names two lizards The Rock and The Geko

Lack of veggies for breakfast.

Very helpful staff, they helped us with a taxi from the airport to the hotel, everyday brought tasty breakfast to the our terrace and cleaned our room every day! Also they made tasty pancakes and brought more fruits on the breakfast for my son. Big and clean swimming pool, very close to the beach (just 2 min walking), canopies above the beds and mosquito nets on the windows. Very nice and green territory. We were really enjoying that place!

Breakfasts can be more varied.

The place is in a very good position because is 3 min by walk to the sea, with a lot of restaurants nearby. The breakfast it was very tasty with fresh juice, crepes, coffee ecc… It was a very quite place with and amazing pool and the greatest stuff ever. They kindly let us stay in the room and pool over the check out time. Highly recommended

The ladies that clean the room and serve the breakfast are very nice! The breakfast is OK, nothing special but enough. The hotel is around 2min. walking distance from the beach. We had an issue with the TV that was not working, but after some 'pole, pole' and taking in consideration the African speed time they solved it. AC and fridge in the room. Internet at the room was sometimes not working, so for fast/speed connection, I would recommend to be close to the swimming pool area.

The guy in the reception is quite serious (if you compared him with the extremely friendly Tanzanian style) but he found our reservation and did our check in without problems. It is indeed hard for the taxi drivers to find the place! as it has 2 entrance, so might be that Google maps shows you an unnecessary workaround.

Baridi Villa is a great place. It is definitely worth the money. Staff are really happy and helpful. You can organise different trips through Baridi. The price for the trips and taxis are slightly more expensive what you can get from the beach but at least you don’t need to stress so much if it works out or not. The pool is perfect for kids. The rooms have smartTV with Netflix (you need your own account though).

We liked everything. Maybe for a longer stay (we stayed 8 nights), the breakfast could vary a bit more.

Breakfast was always great and it was served at my room every morning on time. Even though the location is not a beachfront,the beach is only a five minute walk and the location is very secure.we would go for walks to the beach at any time of the night. If you are looking for a pocket friendly and convenient place to stay,this is yourbest bet.

Lovely pool in a beau garden with coconuts, bananas, a lemur, a rat, geckos, and a lizard. Very nice swings in front of the house. This apartment are unique

Small portion of food for breakfast

it was a little piece of paradise! The pool was a great break from the heat and the day beds were a great place to lounge. The staff were very attentive and the breakfast was great!

The washer wasn’t working, so if that is important for your stay, you should check before you book. But there are plenty of places to dry your clothes if you need to do washing, so it wasn’t a big problem for us.
