Before our arrival, the hotel rebooked us into the Avari Boutique hotel, which is less than 50 metres from the Avari. Both are centrally located, near the walled city. The have secure compounds, with high perimeter walls, barbed wire and 24/7 security. You are advised to leave the hotel only with armed guards and not at all in the evening. Inside, we felt completely safe. The Avari Boutique has a restaurant, with complentary high tea (with sandwiches and cakes). The menu is wide ranging. The reception staff were attentive and meticulous.

I would advise to choose pakistani dishes from the restaurant menu. I found those better than one Chinese dish which I had ordered. On the day of our departure, one receptionist had meddled with the appointment of our police escort, so that they didn't turn up on time. Eventually, we left for Islamabad without Escort vehicle.

1. I booked a room with 2 beds. When I was shifted into the room then I found out that they gave me a room with single bed (and told me that due to a software fault from booking.com all twin rooms were booked). I reminded them that I booked the room 3 weeks in advance. This means that they dont honour commitment with booking.com and the consumer. In the end they provided a mattress. 2. Slow wifi. Despite limited number of occupied rooms wifi was slow and frequently was breaking the connection. 3. Mix tea. Tea is only available in the form of tea bags and powdered milk which will be a deal breaker for us desis.

I have been staying in this Hotel regularly while breaking my journey from Karachi to Islamabad or vice versa by road and always found the place to be in up to the mark. From the time we enter the hotel premises till we check out and leave the standards are great and over the years have been maintained.

There is nothing that I didn't like in the hotel but they can add a little variety in food being offered especially at breakfast time.

Location was good near to city center Room size good & wash room also good Staff very cooperative WIFI Perfect Near to air port only 10 minute drive & also shopping malls are near.

Lobby was small At breakfast did not find the variety Bed was not comfortable.

I wasn't aware that we needed a security to go everywhere, but it all worked out. It was a nice day.

Breakfast was okay. Service a little slow. Ordered fried eggs which took a while to come. Rest was good.

The mattress was squeaky and sort of caved in from the center. The restroom sink drain was clogged and was draining very slowly.

Staff was very courteous and accommodating. We really liked their super comfy beds and their breakfast was also good. Check In was very smooth and they ensured great hospitality during our stay. Parking is also available at the hotel.
