The vibe at the place was really nice, a pretty cool mansion well preserved and renovated. Some things do feel old but in a good nostalgic way ;) The breakfast is pretty simple in terms of variety but we never left the place hungry. The location allowed us to visit multiple locations in the Harz region with ease.

The bathroom utils were a little not maintained in our room. Not sure if due to pipes being old or clogged, but water was going out slow.

This is an epic hotel - we liked it very much. It is located in a renovated manor with a beautiful garden. Breakfast not very diverse, but OK. Parking is located on the lower floor and you have to go up the stairs to the hotel. The triple room was very large, clean with a beautiful bathroom.

For some reason, tourists park in the driveway instead of the parking lot, which creates problems for other hotel residents and employees. Fortunately, the owner knows how to call them to order :-)

I stayed with my friend visiting the area in this villa that was located a little out of the way, but the few miles travel was well worth it. Renovated to a higher standard that we paid for, our stay was pleasant, unique and relaxing. Highly recommended, especially if sauna is your thing. Room/breakfast all excellent. I hope the pictures I took will convince you to stay and enjoy this under-rated little gem.

The hotel is more suited for special occasions like a smaller wedding or a company retreat, but we enjoyed the special attention by the host nevertheless. I could not find any negatives really. Wish we could have stayed a few more days there.

Beautiful fin de siècle/Jugendstil building with an amazing appeal. I love old buildings and this one fascinated me like no other had for a long time. The house was renovated in the early 90s with a lot of passion. Extremely nice property manager.

Contrary to what you might expect, the rooms have carpet floors... no hardwood. Bathroom is tiled, no question here!

This is a beautiful villa in Jugendstil from 1901 which has been converted into a very nice hotel, while keeping many original details. It is set in park with majestic trees. Breakfast was superb, as was the dinner in the garden. The staff were very helpful. The surroundings are great for hiking. The town is very old and has been a castle already around 900 AD.

Restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and other ones as not in the direct surrounding. Restaurants close on different days, so it is better to check.
