The hotel was ok and reasonably comfortable. The courtyard is a bit messy and smelly. The breakfast was ok, not great. The staff were friendly; one guy spoke good English and kept offering to help with anything. We didn't try the restaurant. Cavour is a small but quaint town with a lovely church and a small center with a cafe; that's about it. We were there for a wedding in nearby Bagnolo Piemonte.

It was pretty hot. The AC didn't work on the first day. They got it fixed by our second night there. As mentioned above, the courtyard was smelly (like aged cheese).

The staff were really helpful and friendly, despite the language barrier. The room was large, clean and tidy, and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. The town itself is small and quiet but with buses to other nearby towns, the staff helped us out with this. However, there were lovely walks and resutraunts in the village, including the restaurant in the hotel. Overall a pleasant, enjoyable stay.

This is a great country hotel and nice (busy) restaurant. Comfortable and old-school. The town is also cute and has interesting landmarks to explore on foot.

Heating in midday was stopped so room was cold.Tv didn't work,WiFi was very poor in the room,worked in restaurant and breakfast room.

The room was very spacious but the beds were not comfortable - probably too old mattresses to still be in use. The breakfast was the poorest experience, with unwashed fruits and a small selection of industrialised pastries and jams.

The location is great—it is situated in the center of Cavour. The room was very spacious, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The building needs a full renovation. It is very old, and some parts of the room, such as the roof lighting and the air conditioning, are falling apart.

The restaurant appeared good and has a Michelin star from the past, but we did not eat there. Good location for one passing through this part of Italy, consistent with the hotel's history

Room was austere, mattress and pillow thin and hard, single thin blanket on bed.

The staff was helpful. The room was large, because I paid extra for the large room with a balcony.

July 2023: A/C did not work 60% of the time (intermittently) & barely worked the remaining 40%. The bed and couch were horrible. The bed (2 twins pushed together) was similar to the mattress from a sofa sleeper. The support boards were not properly installed and the mattress on one side collapsed. The hotel provides Sky cable TV, but there are no instructions on how to operate it (useless). Often, nobody was at the reception desk. So, you have to wait for someone from the restaurant to come help you with issues regarding your room. The balcony for which I paid extra, overlooked the alley above where the trash was stored for pick-up. The smell was not pleasant. So, we kept the balcony doors closed even though we had no A/C. I don’t think the owners cared about our discomfort. The staff did what they could to help. On day 2 (of 2 nights), a maintenance man came to drain the condensation from the A/C drip pan, because it was leaking from a light fixture in the ceiling in the room’s entry. This hotel does not live up to it’s history. I cannot believe I had to pay for this horrible experience.
