Excellent location right across the road from the train station making it most convenient if you are arriving by train to Starnberg. Very sumptuous breakfast with plenty of choices. Good coffee too. Our room was on the second floor and located at the back corner of the hotel, so it was really quiet and not disturb by the street noise and restaurant below. The room is sufficiently furnished and clean. Clean towels and bath room too.

Nothing much really. Small elevator but can't expect much with such classic hotel. One has to be careful when taking the shower in the bath tub. The water may flow out and wet the carpet outside the bath room. Small bath room but it is expected of such classic hotel.

This is a very nice hotel on the lake with easy access to the train station. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. No air conditioning but a very effective fan supplied.

With windows open for fresh air in the heat, the noise from trains coming/going from the station in front of the hotel disturbed us a bit in the mornings. But the location was worth it for access to the lake.

Large room with a beautiful view to the lake. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was nice!

There was no AC and the days were hot. It was very hot at night. We couldn’t keep the windows open because there were lot of noise coming from the street (restaurant downstrairs etc.).

Very helpful at the front desk. I was arriving a bit late and they had already texted me to tell me how to get access to my key, but I still arrived in time before reception closed. Great Indian restaurant about 4 minutes away on foot and the Starnberg train station it literally right across the street, perfect for taking the train into Munich the next day. Beautiful lake view.

There could have been slightly more hot choices at breakfast and the bedding was bit soft, but overall a great stay.

The location was excellent. Brilliant view of the lake from our bedroom. Also parking was a bonus. A wide choice for breakfast. We asked for an additional blanket which was brought up to us immediately.

The location of Hotel Starnberg See is perfect right across the street from the train station and the lake. The staff especially the front desk was friendly, helpful, professional. The room was very clean and comfortable. (one exception noted in the "did not like" section) with a stable WiFi. The breakfast offered a good selection of baked breads and croissants that were baked fresh throughout the breakfast period. The staff also offered eggs scrambled or fried. We would return to Hotel Starnberg See again without hesitation.

The previous occupant of our room was an obvious smoker (even though smoking in the room is prohibited). We went into the bathroom and were hit with an incredibly strong odor of cigarette smoke. We informed the front desk and they apologized and said smoking in the rooms is strictly prohibited. We were not offered another room and we did not ask for another room since we had already unpacked the suitcases so we opened the windows and aired out the smoke. The air cleared up by the next day. Outside of the cigarette smoke, everything else about Hotel Starnberg See was great.

This is a classic lakeside resort hotel located just across the street from Starnberger See (Lake Starnberg). It was a bit rustic; but that was to be expected given the hotel's vintage. The room was very clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. If traveling to Starnberg and you want access to the lake, this is a very nice hotel in the heart of the village.

The street between the hotel and the lake was very noisy almost all night long. I'm not sure what the hotel can do about the noise; but the volume of cars, people walking by, and the train (the U-Bahn station is just across the street) make for a loud stay.

Really nice hotel. The staff were really lovely on arrival. Hotel is in a great spot. The breakfast was really good as well. Would absolutely come back one day.

Good location near to the station and lake side walks. Very friendly staff and very good breakfasts.

Next to a relatively busy road and train line, and the shower cubicle was a bit small.

Excellent situation very close to the lake and to the train station. We used the parking which was behid the hotel. The breakfast is quite varied and complete, the room was comfortable.

The lift had some minor problems which affected the capacity. Nothing else to remark.
