Sully is a very attractive town on the bank of the Loire. The Hotel Burgevin is perfectly located in the town, with its castle just a few minutes' walk away on the beautiful Loire river bank. It also has its own car park, which is a major convenience for guests this close to the town centre. The hotel appears to have been well refurbished relatively recently. Externally it is elegant and internally the decor is modern and fresh. Our "Junior Suite" was a good size, with the sofa bed in a separate room, ideal for a family (we were travelling with our grand-daughter aged 10, who appreciated the privacy). The en suite shower room was modern, well equipped and generously proportioned. Although the hotel does not have its own restaurant, there is a wide choice within easy reach. The breakfast buffet was well stocked, catering for traditional French coffee and pastries, continental cheeses and cold meats, yoghurt, fruit and even scrambled egg, sausages and bacon (an egg-boiler would be a nice addition). Although we were just passing through for a one-night stop, this would be a fine place to stay longer and visit the region. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional.

There was a minor glitch on check-in, when, although we had booked for three guests, the room had been made made up as a double and the side room was locked. This was rectified as soon as I told reception.

Breakfast was very good but the hotel was very full and everyone arrived at once, happily when we were nearly finished. This meant the buffet selection ran out very quickly and staff struggled to replace items & fast enough to suit guests wanting a quick breakfast. Also 1 cereal dispenser was empty ( at the start of breakfast ) & the other had only 1 serve left, which was not replaced during our time. Only 1 coffee machine was operating causing a queue which blocked the buffet. That said, we had a very good breakfast.

This is simply an excellent place to stay. Sophie and her team, welcomed me in excellent English, stored my bicycle in a purpose built garage and served me an excellent bottled beer in a very comfortable lounge. The ground floor room, large, light and airy, great air con, beautiful big shower was super clean with thick creamy towels, and looked out over an inner courtyard through blackout curtains.. The bed was very comfortable and the furnishings top class and again very clean. The breakfast was copious and perfect for a vegetarian cyclist. A superb hotel on the EuroVelo 6 and 3 and well worth your time. A 5 star experience. 🙏🙏

The bed side tables while large, were topped with a black glass which made me fear dropping my phone in the night or misjudging where the surface was so to speak. Other than that this hotel was brilliant.

Superbly located being very convenient for the chateau and the restaurants in Sully. The bedroom was comfortable and, like the spacious bathroom, had been refurbished well, including with effective air-con. The quality of the breakfast was excellent for what is a fairly small establishment. The patron was most welcoming and there is a secure on-site car park.

We booked a double room and a junior suite. They were very clean and well-maintained. The suite was exceptionally spacious and we liked the structure too. Frederick the host was warm and very helpful in sharing with us that the Chateau Sully-sur-Loire would be closed the following day so that saved the day. We managed to visit it in the afternoon instead after checking in. It was just a stone's throw away, so convenient. He also recommended eating places for the evening. We had a superb dinner. Frederick went the extra mile in helping us to sort out some difficult issues with our car rental as we were left in the lurch with no transport to Amboise. He made several repeated calls to a few parties and was so patient in following up even after we had checked out. The family rates this 10/10, no less. Oh yes, breakfast was superb too!

Great location near the Chateau and river. Near restaurants (great pizza place near). A/C was very welcome in a heatwave and not too noisy. Offstreet parking onsite. Room was massive and had a kettle which was great as we had to leave before breakfast.

Nice quiet Hotel with on-site parking and generous size room with aircon. Very conveniently located close to bars, a variety of ethnic restaurants and takeaways. Very handy to the main attraction, the chateau (well worth a visit).

Although the hotel was fine, the manager was not particularly friendly and was quite obnoxious when we misplaced our keycard which we found later. A total over reaction. My wife also left a coat in the wardrobe and we did not receive a message via booking.com to inform us or offer to post it on at our expense. Not very nice. we would not stay again.

Very nice hotel with parking and very nice location. The mangers are super nice. They gave us very useful tips to discover this beautiful region. Tasty breakfast too! We highly recommend to stay at the Hotel Burgevin.
