We visited Banos with our 3 grandchildren, ages 8, 11, and 12. They loved the hotel as much as we did! The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet had choices galore, and we even ordered omelets a few days, too. The breakfast waitstaff was remarkable and attentive. The front desk staff assisted us many times in booking day trips and taxis. Hotel location perfect, just blocks away from shopping and restaurants. The workout room is simple but has a large assortment of weights, even light ones for women. The hot tubs and cold plunge are beautiful and clean. I would highly recommend Sangay Spa for everyone!

The hotel is in a privileged location in front of the Thermal Baths, and near many restaurants, yet far from the busy main square area. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of choices and a very attentive staff. The hotel is very well maintained for its age.

The room was a bit small, and the bathroom was very small. Fortunately, I was traveling alone, but for two people, it can be crowded. My room was also a cabana in front of the pool which can be somewhat noisy and with music playing most of the day. Not ideal for reading or working remotely. If looking for silence, request an area away from the pool.

Beautiful room, excellent and varied breakfast buffet, very helpful staff, clean and pretty, well-groomed grounds. The hot springs pools and the Bridal Veil falls are right across the street. The café has a whimsical Alice in Wonderland themed decor and lunch was delicious. When checking in, front desk noticed that my spouse would have trouble reaching the third floor without an elevator, so they switched us to a ground floor room with a king-size bed. We were glad for that. Hotel did have a generator, so we never had more than a minute without electricity when the rolling blackouts came.

Mattress was extra firm, too hard for my taste, I did not sleep well and woke up in pain. Spouse slept well. Unfortunately, their generator does not seem to power the swimming pool heater and filter system, so the hotel's clear water pool was not ready for use in the mornings when we were around. The only rooms listed on booking.com as having a king-size bed were the suites which turned out to be on the third floor where my walking-impaired spouse could not have reached them.

The hotel is very beautiful, clean and tidy, great location

At first we got a room in a cabin that doesn't feel like a hotel. From there we were moved to a room in an old building that again doesn't feel like a hotel. Finally we were moved to the main building and everything was of a high standard. At the reception I tried to pay in cash but the receptionist charged the card that was for security without asking

Beautifully maintained and decorated - the place was exceptionally clean and organized. The staff were helpful and let us stay past checkout as we arrived late from a tour. Breakfast was spectacular and even and live music. On top of everything it’s located close to everything important in Baños and had its own power generator (since ecuador is experiencing outages). Would recommend to anyone!

Lacks enough parking

The breakfast being included in the price of the room was one of the selling points for us. Plus, it was delicious. And had plenty of variety!

We only have one recommendation...that the bathroom had a vent fan. While there was no AC, the temperature outside was nice, and it was quiet enough that we could leave the window open. Additionally, the staff gladly brought us a fan, so we were even more comfortable.

Being a spa hotel, the option of getting a massage and having use of hot tubs were wonderful after numerous days of hiking. The staff was friendly, the room spacious(we were in a ground level cabana) and quiet. Lots of outlets for charging phones, hot shower. Laundry service a plus, drop it in the morning, have it in the evening. The food was very good. Breakfast was included, and there was a great selection of breads. Two dining areas, one downstairs(closed weekends I believe) and the main dining area upstairs. It's across the street from the Virgin waterfall and hot spring pools. Convenient to the plaza and tour agencies.

Everything was very nice.

The location is excellent, directly across from the hot baths which makes it easy to go predawn when the water is fresh. The breakfast was abundant and varied and in a nice dining area with big windows.

My wife and I loved the location. It was across the street from pools of water from the hot springs which we really enjoyed and it was a short walk to the downtown and lots of good restaurants. We loved the room we were in and the really good breakfasts every morning. It was our anniversary and we did the spa's "Romantic Jacuzzi" and really enjoyed it.

Our original room in the hotel was disrupted by construction noise at the hotel but management swiftly arrived at our room and moved us to a room away from the noise. I couldn't have asked for a better response from them.

Great location and cozy room just on the edge of town. We loved being able to walk into the busy town streets, but have a quiet place to rest at the end of the day. Our room was in the main building overlooking the Virgin waterfall and we enjoyed the calming water sounds.

The tub/shower was a little difficult to get into (high step with a metal towel rack near your head). Otherwise, everything was wonderful.
