A tranquil space in Coban. The courtyard garden and pergola was the perfect retreat for a few days. Hot showers, hooks and shelves to unpack a bit and a comfortable bed. The team was very friendly & helped me navigate the local bus to Biotopo Quetzal & Lanquin. Delicious local food and home baked cookies completed the family feel you get from Chapultepec.

The food was superb! My wife and I ordered the subanik and a ham deep dish pizza. Both dishes were great!!

The bathroom had a very strong smell of humidity and the bed was not firm at all, so my back hurt a little bit the next day.

Good location. Nice one person bedroom with a cute bathroom. Comfortable bed. Shower with good pressure and nice temperature. Safe and clean. They have a very cute courtyard and a very welcoming common lounge area. The staff was really friendly and helpful - one staff member even helped me with my duffle bag and walked with me to the bus stop. I liked the neighbourhood and as a female solo traveler, found it safe. They accept dogs with no extra fees.

I stayed in the last room, inside the complex but very close to the road - which at moments was a bit loud. The bathroom window was facing the place where the security guard is, so maybe a curtain would be nice in order to give some privacy. I am not sure if they can see from the outside, but I think it could be a nice touch for whoever is using the shower. Don't think the other rooms have this problem though (noise some times and the window facing the security)

Nice garden and interior design.

We had booked a 20square meter room in booking, but they either did not have the room available or it was already occupied. So they gave us a 6square meter room instead and asked for the same price, so we needed to bargain. The matrass was rather old and no longer comfortable. All in all we expected something different.

The staff and the owner of the hotel were extremely welcoming and the grounds were EXCEPTIONALLY beautiful. Looks, however, don't count for anything when you've been traveling for days and just want a clean, comfortable place to sleep! The first room I was assigned was full of the smell of mold & mildew and I had to ask to be moved, which was accommodated immediately. I appreciated the HOT water in the shower. I also really appreciated the location--I could walk to everything in Coban except the bus station.

Regardless of the price, the room was so tiny that I had to sleep with my backpack at the foot of my single bed. There was no place else to put it without tripping over it to go the bathroom; unpacking was not an option. Also regardless of the price, the water in the shower should drain out as quickly as it flows in--not a priority, it seems, in Central America. By the time I finished showering & rinsing the soap out of my hair I was swimming in 1-2 inches of standing soapy water.

The location for downtown, old Coban was great. The shower in our bathroom was strong and hot.

Oh my! The room was NOT as described, Rather than a two room family suite as described , it was a room with two beds and a kitchen with a sofa bed. There is no way two people could have slept on the sofa bed. You had to walk through the kitchen/bedrooms to get to the bathroom. Some little bugs fell out of the headboard- which we decided must be termites. No one had any bites the next day. The floor was old and cracked, which would have been fine, but it looked like it had not seen a mop in years. The kitchen counters were dirty, though there was a working refrigerator, dirty toaster oven, and hot plate. The setting must have been pretty at one time- two nice patio areas. There was filtered water and the breakfasts looked good though i did not eat there. This was in the heart of downtown and easy to get around. People were great.

We cannot say anything about the rooms on the upper floors, but the family room downstairs was very disappointing. We hadn’t booked that room in the first place, but were allocated there once we arrived. The room was dark and gloomy, had a very musty smell, no windows to be opened and reminded of an old cellar altogether. The toilet wasn’t really clean and welcoming either. The wifi however was good and hot water was available. The staff was friendly as well. All in all, we were very disappointed by our experience and don’t think the price is appropriate for the service.
