Very expensive, tiny toilet, you have to enter backwards, otherwise you won’t be able to turn around.

The beds and linen were comfortable. It was clean. The location is very good to go skiing, with the lifts 150m walk flat. A ski room just next to the ski shop next door is very helpful to leave skis and boots overnight. You can order your ski passes at the reception to have them in the morning The bar area is about ok.

A lot of things. This hotel is far from the four-star it claims to be. It should be two-star. Very bad value for money. Location is good but it is not ski-in/ski out. The views of the street at the back of the hotel are really bland as you are in the middle of town. No real alpine feeling. But that's also because Risoul is mainly appartment blocks and quite souless. Corridors and lifts are drab. Dining room has zero atmosphere. Such a frosty welcome, scarce parking which proved to be a pain when arriving late. They have 10 spaces in a public parking quite far away that they charge you 15 euros a night when the price of the parking is...15euros ish anyway. Very poor and stingy. And you are not told in advance... We got charged a very expensive price for a room with a disabled bathroom, like a wet room. And with a blocked drain. Those are obviously necessary for some people, but not comfortable at all for the others and we were only told after our booking that the bathroom was "equipped for disabled people". We had booked 1 big bed+1 single, confirmed by email. Turned out to be one double bed when we got there. Which they eventually split into two for my son and I. They also eventually shaved 20 euros a night. Too little, too late, and only because I asked! The reception staff has no idea of how to welcome guests. We felt like we were not welcome, repeatedly told "this was our last room", and sort of like we were lucky to have it. I was lied to about the fact that I was called to let me know about the bathroom. I wasn't. And I suspect they didn't because I had a UK number. The staff at the restaurant is nice though, but the food is below par. The breakfast buffet is about OK but you'd imagine they'd have a nice local tomme for cheese and not some plasticky industrial emmental. Maybe they forgot they were a four-star hotel?? All very cheap. Clearly the person that gave that rating has also forgotten what a four-star hotel...
