It is in a great location to many attractions in NYC. Great price for what it’s worth. My room had a sink, mini fridge, microwave, ac unit, wardrobe, table, folding chair and a bed. Bed does come with the linens and pillows. I thought the bed was comfy. You get one towel. The toilet and shower are shared with everyone on that floor. I was on the first floor and I believe there are three floors.

Check in was different. I had to stay in constant contact with property manager and have a scheduled meet up outside the property. A person comes to check your info and gives you two keys, one for the front door and one for your room. I was there for four days and the bathroom across the hall from me ran out of toilet paper so I used the roll that was in my room. The bathroom ran out paper again 😑

Can't beat the price for the location! It's the best of both worlds.

The check-in process could have been made clearer. I was not informed that I needed to call the property owner upon arrival to check-in, so more clarity around that would be appreciated.

Comfortable and very cost effective.. Also very close to Penn Station.. Self check-in/out for late arrivals..

A little old and worn out but not a big problem.. It must be the case for most of Chealsea..

The location was excellent, I booked a suit, so it included a private bathroom. I was happy with the price I paid. I meet some locals in the building who were very nice and welcoming.

Some of the fittings and bedding were very old. They told me there would be some plates and glasses, but none were provided. I did not bother asking as I ate out anyway.

It's a comfortable room. The shower is wonderful. But I don't have any instruction to how is supposed to do the check in or check out. Nobody answer my messages or email. One person who live in the building open the front door and I wait in the lobby until somebody give me the key.

Room 7 was perfect for me and the Housekeeper was a helpful chap.

Arriving in the middle of the night after a 20 hour journey and no arrangements for my room so I sat on the steps inside until midday.This after being asked arrival time by one called Sheetal.

What I was very pleased with was the location of the accommodation. I met some nice people. I liked sometimes just sitting on the stairs and looking around, someone always had a kind word to say. One day, I heard a wonderful bird call in the room and saw the beautiful northern cardinal through the window. I loved it.

I found the bed uncomfortable, but by the second day I was so tired that I could sleep on it. :)

I stayed here for 3 weeks in total. The room was spacious, clean, and smelled good upon arrival. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Every time I had a specific issue, they would come and help me out, so they take your requests seriously. The location is great, but I would still recommend being careful around the Penn Station. Overall I had a good stay here.

There is no reception, so there is a kind of different check-in process. Keep this in mind before your arrival and make sure you have a telephone connection. The toilet was clean, but the shared shower could have been cleaner.

The location, just a block from Moynihan Hall, will make it convenient for many travellers. And while there is little in terms of atmosphere or design to the rooms, they are well furnished (some with kitchenettes, other small ones with just sink). It is no-thrills but well kept, clean, organised.

People shouldn't expect luxury and know that the stairs creak, you might hear traffic noise outside, etc, but generally there is little to complain about if your expectations are realistic!
